"Leaving early, huh?" Mom approached me with a kiss on my cheeks. She slightly combed my hair into my long and silky hair while looking at me in my eyes.

I returned Mom's bright approach with a sweet smile. "We have a meeting in the newsletter club, Mom."

She just nodded at me, still plastering her bright smile at me. Mom turned to Dad, who slid his phone in his pocket to greet me. "Let's go, sweetie."

I followed Dad on our way to leave the house. "Owen was already here a long moment ago," he made me aware.

My brows shot up as I peek on our gateway and there he really is. Leaning on the side of his shining silver motorcycle. His bag is hanging low in his right arm. Both hands are in his pocket while whistling and humming tunes with eyes wandering everywhere.

I rolled up my eyes at the scene and shook my head. Why is he here? Ang aga-aga.

Dad proceeded towards him that made him stop from chilling and standing straight up.

I stopped behind Dad and watched as Owen naughtily played with his eyebrows up and down before turning a smile to my dad. "Good morning, Tito."

Dad returned the greetings. "Drive safely. Double it because the road is still soaked from the constant light rain. I only let you drive my daughter with a motorcycle."

"Yes po." Again, Owen turned to me and winked.

I felt a collision between my eyebrows. Glad that I just had a sandwich for breakfast because I might have messed up my morning, vomiting.

Dad left us after giving a tap on Owen's shoulder and proceeded to his car to start the engine.

Owen put down his bag in his motor seat before wearing off his jacket and giving it out to me. I rolled my eyes before getting hold of it.

"Ang aga-aga, kay taray-taray mo. Kaya madilim ang ulap, e," Owen commented, pointing to the dark clouds up there.

"Hindi ko naman sinabing sunduin mo ako," pagtataray ko pa.

"Ang gwapo-gwapo ng sundo mo, nagrereklamo ka pa. Iba ka talaga," iiling-iling nitong banat habang ikinakabit ang helmet sa ulo ko.

"On what part? On your toe nails?"

"Hindi," he countered before turning his back at me. "Dito." He pushed his butt out.

Malakas kong ginawaran ang lalaki ng isang hampas sa balikat. Ang baboy!

Tumawa lang ang baliw.

"Bilis na nga! We're gonna be late!"

Tumatawa nitong sinakyan ang motor niya at ini-start ang engine. Nang maayos niya ang motor ay saka na ako sumakay ng pagilid dahil nakapalda ako.

"Hindi man lang kasi dinala 'yung kotse niya," bulong ko but it's enough for him to hear. Inilagay ko ang jacket niya pantakip sa legs ko at ipinatong ang bag ko roon.

"Reklamador talaga."

Muli akong napairap sa lalaki bago niya paandarin ang motor.

When we arrived at school, dumiretso kami sa club room. We are gonna talk about the start of the newspaper release.

Since we just had the officials lately, we are late in the start of  the monthly newspaper especially that we will have to prioritize the incoming competition.
