Paula was in her room, concentrating on something that needed the utmost attentiveness. She was trying to telepathically communicate to Poo, the heir to the throne of Dalaam, one of the last absolute monarchies in the World.

She finally focused enough to send a message.

'Dear Poo... Do you remember me from 2 years ago? I'm Paula. Tomorrow, we are planning to have a meal outside in a forest in Eagleland. If you can hear me, please reply. And also... how are you and Dalaam?'

It took a while for Paula to get a response.

'Hallo? Is that you, Pōla?'

She was shocked.

'Oh my goodness, it is you! How are you, Poo?'

'I am good. I am about to be coronated as King of Dalaam.'

'Wh-what?!'

'The previous king, my father... King Shigara V, died peacefully in his sleep yesterday. I have deemed the next three days as days of mourning. I am getting coronated in 5 days.'

'Oh... I'm... so sorry for your loss...'

'It is quite alright. I did not know him much anyway... And, well, I will get to see him when he is rebirthed. I believe he will be reincarnated as the thunder dragon, a Druk.'

'Hmm.. I don't know what to say.'

'You do not have to say anything at all, then. Anyhow, you spoke about an appointment for a meal in Eagleland, is that correct?'

'Yes... er, I mean, indeed.'

'Pōla.'

'Y-yes? I-I mean, indeed? Wait! I mean-'

'Let me say something. I have no need to repeat it again. You do not need to speak so formally. The reason I speak like this is because I was taught formal English by a Foggylandian professor. However, you shall speak how you usually speak because that is the manner you are accustomed to! So, speak to me like you would to Ness, please.'

Paula stared blankly for a few seconds, as if she was hypnotised

'Er... Pōla? Have I scared you or something like that?'

'Huh? Oh, no no...'

'Okay, like I said, you talked about an Eagleland meal?'

'Yeah.'

'And, you allow me to come?'

'What? Of course! We invite you, not just allow you.'

'I have to inform you, however, that Dalaam's time is 16 hours apart from Onett's. If I do come, then please excuse my fatigue.'

'Of course!'

'Can I come to Dalaam?'

'Hm... Make sure not to loiter much. Many people are downtrodden; do not disturb them. They are mourning my father and their king's death. Disturbing would be sensitive, but knowing your caring personality, I know you wouldn't unless you didn't understand.'

'Okay. So... will you come to Eagleland?'

'Not only is it a good oppurtunity to strengthen Daalam-Eagleland relations but is also a nice chance to talk to my friends from my adventure! Of course. What time will it be?'

'We haven't decided on a time yet, but it will definitely be during the afternoon. Most likely 4 PM, but don't count me on that.'

'Great.'

'I'll get to Dalaam right now.'

'Okay. Good luck.'
