"Ness, are you alright?"
"Ness, are you alright?"
"Ness, are you alright?"
"Ness, are you alright?"

"Ness, are you alright?"

This sentence echoed in Ness's mind. Was he okay? He didn't feel like it. He averted his attention from Paula and Ana, who were starting to worry.

Ninten looked out of the glass door that was a few metres away. Once he saw Paula and Ana outside without Ness, he was stunned. He swallowed up all of his food ― which looked quite demanding to eat all at once ― and dashed out of the building.

He pushed the doors open. He stood still as the duo stared at him. Then, Ana ran over and held him tight.

"I missed you..." she said.

"What? But it's only been..."

Ninten checked his non-existent watch.

"Some amount of minutes!"

"Yeah, but still..."

Ninten found it somewhat flattering, but didn't want to get his emotions tangled up in his main objective: finding Ness.

"Now, where is Ness?" he asked.

"He just went south. He isn't responding to us at all!!"

"Then? We go after him! Let's go!"

The trio ran after Ness, who was slowly trudging to... somewhere. One could tell Ness had a vague idea of where he was heading but he really didn't know exactly where. Ninten saw that he was in an empty area of Onett; one with no obstructions in sight. Perfect for...

 "PK Teleport Beta!"

Paula, Ana and Ninten sprinted full-force into Ness, dragging them across the ground. Ness' body started to accelerate in motion.

"What are you doing?!" He yelled as he was getting pulled further away from the direction of the burger shop.

"We're following you!" Ninten snapped right back, "Now, where are you going?"

"I'm going back to Winters! I know someone who can fix this whole thing!! Now GET OFF ME!!"

"No!!" cried the three, in perfect unison.

"Pfft... Welp, I can't really get you off me now."

"Huh? Why not?"

"'Cause we're in the sky."

Ninten looked down and shrieked in fear.

"Wh-wh-what the heeeellll?!"

Ana giggled.

"Are you that scared of heights?"

"Y-yeah!! And, you ain't?!"

"But, you've been in the air a lot!"

"It's different when you're in a plane!!!"

"Eh, fair."

Then, there was silence. Well, it was not really silent, they were travelling quite quickly, a bit slower than the speed of sound.

'Wait a minute,' you must be wondering, 'If they were travelling close to the speed of sound from one side of the Clymenian Ocean to the other, it would take just over two hours. Yet for Ness, it only takes a few minutes! Has the Creator been lazy and not researched the time it takes to cross the Clymenian Ocean at the speed of sound?!'

And the truth is...

Yep!

"Who the hell's speakin'?" Ninten politely demanded,  "Bro, be quiet."
