(Anthea aged 17 Loki aged 20 and Thor aged 21)
The day of throne.
Today was the day Thor had literally waited all his life for. The day he would take the throne and be announced as king.
It was all he had gone on about since we were children, the day he would be king.
But now as the day approached their was clearly friction between us all. Thor, who usually oozed confidence now teamed of nervousness. Although he would never admit it, Loki, happy for his brother, did harvest some jealously that our brother would take the throne but was happy nevertheless.
I however had other things upon my mind. I was thankful that Thor would ascend to the throne and the burden that would fall with it, but my own destiny was fast approaching upon me.
They day I would ascend in all my power and be faced with an impossible decision that would shape my life forever.
"Anthea are you ready yet?" My mother quizzed from outside my chambers, I was changing into my formal dress.
My long golden hair, draped down my back in perfect curls, the only difference was the my hair was braided at the top to form a sort of head band. I was terrified, scared for my brother, but adrenaline pumped through my body to keep me standing.
"May I come in dear?" I abruptly stood and waited my mothers entry, once she entered she did nothing but admire me.
"My angel, you look radiant!" She leeched over to me and embraced me in a long awaited hug, I did nothing but hug her back. I loved her so much, she was always their when I needed her and I couldn't ask for a better mother.
"Eh hum" someone coughed from behind the door, Loki. Dressed in his Asgardian armour, my mother exchanged looks from us both before wiping away a tear.
Loki's presence of utter confidence with subtle hints of mischief twinging on delicate slyness was positively perfect.
Thor then emerged from behind Loki, a grin of utter content across his face,
"Mother! Siblings! Should we not be in the hall?" He asked, smirking from ear to ear.
I physically force myself to light up at the sight of his smile, it reassured me that everything was okay.
Mother gazed at us all once more and then left, urging us to follow her.
"Sister, you look ravishing..."Loki teased, I pulled both him and Thor into a hug and they accepted without hesitation. I craved their playfulness today.
"Thor, I'm sure you will make a great king" I admitted, I honestly thought he would.
Unfortunately, this genuine comment caused me to felt Loki tense, then pull out of the hug. I dismissed this action and we all linked and walked to the hall.
Before entering, Thor paused. We all stopped in a swift motion, a questioning looks swept across us as we waited for him to explain why he stopped.
"Something wrong brother?" I was worried, he looked up and smiled.
"No, but I want my entrance to be memorable!"
I laughed and then Loki pulled me with him. The doors flew open revealing me and Loki to the whole of Asgard. They all cheered at the sight if us and I pulled Loki closer to me.
"Don't let me fall," I whispered to him, my eyes locked on the sight of faces surrounding us with eager anticipation, I shivered at the thought of embarrassing myself in front of the whole of Asgard and never being able to live the shame of it down.
