Black.

I was shrouded in a blanket of black that consumed my soul.

There was nothing, emptiness. This is not what I had expected of Valhalla, I expected beauty, tranquility.

I expected to be in heaven that was contained in a sense of joy and complimented by a feeling of eternal ecstasy.

I expected to see my brothers, to relieve my childhood memories with them, but no.

Nothing.

A strange feeling washed over me, it was similar to that of the feeling I felt as a child.

When Thor would spin me around in the air, it felt like I was flying. Or at least floating.

Even though I has alone, I felt no fear. I felt the opposite actually, I felt, calm.

Until, there was a distant light within the distance, small but powerful. I felt compelled to approach it, but I had no control over my movements.

I couldn't see myself, just the light.

Thankfully my body started to gravitate towards it, slowly but surely, I was moving towards it at a steady pace.

The closer I got to the light, the more feeling I regained in my body. But the bigger the light became, almost mimicking the feeling of power I was having.

Then, I felt the urge to reach out and touch the glowing mass of light, it had no colour, yet it was every colour.

I reached for the light and with the tips of my fingers I touched it.

A burst of energy charged right through me, hollowing me out. The pain was excruciating, I screamed but no sound came out. My surroundings had changed from a empty void to thousands of images and colours, I saw memories, I saw the present, I saw the future.

My body was going in convulsions of pain and pleasure, the energy was heightening every sense in my body, the longer it lasted the more, powerful it became.

I thought my body couldn't cope, I felt death would be a welcomed luxury.

Then the pain was no more.

I lay still for a few minutes, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

My hands were protecting my head, trying to find a secure position. I felt cold, weak.

Like all the life force had been sucked out of me.

It was a rippling feeling that would send any warrior mad. I opened my eyes and adjusted to the light around me, my vision was blurry at first but soon corrected itself.

I forced my body up into a sitting position. It hurt, everything hurt. I turned to look at my body, and was mesmerised by what I found.

My wounds were no more, not even a scare. With feeling quickly gaining up on me, I scanned my body. Desperately searching for any sign of pain or injury, but nothing.

My clothes, my armour. They we still ripped, but no marks. I panicked, confusion melted to my brain, was this a sweet dream? Or a beautiful nightmare? I stood myself up and roamed my eyes for any sign of life.

I was no longer of Earth, I was in a garden. A garden of extravagant beauty, the flowers dancing in the warm sunlight that nourished my skin. The green grass surrounding me, I knew exactly were I was, I was home.

I found that all that all my flaws from before were no more, I could run faster, smell stronger, see better and so on.

But then as I was masking in my own magnificence, a twinge of sadness hit me.
