"Jane! These Pop tarts are done!"

Darcy yelled from our small, yet homie kitchen in the land of London.
I had been living here for two years now, it was, in all its insignificant glory, home.
Jane, Eric, Darcy and I were not what you would call a predictable alliance, but I knew that our friendship was true. Jane and Darcy had taught me much about Midgardian ways, or should I say human ways, they even managed to convince me to wear some of their ridiculously revealing clothes.
Eric helped me learn to control my powers, it was he who helped me discover how far my abilities could be stretched to limitless places if I concentrated hard enough. But it was harder then it looked, I had to tap into the deepest parts of my mind, I had to scavenge through my own emotions and find trigger-able vantage points. It was he who discovered that my emotions controlled my powers, it was also he who found my wrath when he spoke ill of my brother and found himself catapulted into another room. My energy ray personally threw him through the wall of the kitchen when my emotions changed from neutral to anger.
It was on that day that we found more of my powers, so far I can create energy rays and forcefields that can be sustained as long as I am focused, I can absorb energy from other things and use it to my advantage and I have some low level telekinesis. Eric says the powers will become stronger in time, but the more I use them the faster that will happen. Mines and Eric relationship had developed into something which we both chose to ignore, we weren't as hostile to each other as we always had been, now we were more considerate and honest about how we felt. But communication had never been our problem, it was the emotions behind what we were saying that was.
"Darcy! Can't you see I'm a little busy?!" Jane roared, clutching a bunch of papers and binders. I was slumped on the couch, hugging a pillow and watching the TV. Since my discovery of the TV we had become close friends. Eric, sat still on the armchair, holding a mug in one hand and a newspaper in the other. "Well, no I can't because I'm too busy making the freakin' pop tarts!" Darcy bellowed back, earning a slight giggle from me, but a roll of the eyes form Eric. Jane huffed and looked to me for support, I smirked back at her and moved myself from the couch, I pulled up my high waisted shorts and pulled down my checkered top that was a size too big for me. I stumbled over to Jane and removed the items from within her grasp, "go and get your breakfast Jane, I'm sure your" I paused looking down at all the items in my hand, "work, can wait" I smiled and she headed over to Darcy.
They both accompanied Eric and I on the couch and we sat in a comfortable silence. "I'll be going out of town for a few days" Eric spoke, disrupting all of us from our thoughts, Eric had been doing this a lot lately. Going away and then coming back, but when he did, he would tell us nothing and retreated to his room and worked his fingers to the bone. Revealing nothing, not even to Jane, to both mine, Darcy's and Jane's surprise. "Where are you going this time?" Darcy asked smugly, Eric's gaze rose to watch her. "Just out of town" his answer cold, and unresponsive. We dismissed the subject, carrying on as if nothing had ever happened.

"Urrh, why does your sun insist on waking me up!" I moaned grumbly, trudging out of my room with a world class bed head and disheveled clothes. Jane and Dacry, all sat in the living room, I made myself a drink, but became disturbed when I heard no chatter coming from them. Usually, they would all be debating about something or other, but no. Silence.
I glided over to them and sat in my usual place, "so, what has prevented our mouths from moving this morning?" I gleamed, a smile spread across my face. But none of them moved, their face looked drained, drained of all life. "Hello?" I questioned, waving my hands in front of their face. Jane snapped out of her trance and looked at me grimly, "Anthea, you, you might want to get dressed" she stated, whilst gesturing towards the bedroom. I gave her a confused look, what was she talking about? "What?" Jane looked towards Darcy. Their faces hadn't changed, but I could tell Darcy wanted to say something, she wasn't very good with her words but never before had she been lost for them.
"Jane, Darcy, tell me what is wrong. It pains me to see you both in such a state of disarray" I placed my hand in Jane's arm as a sign of comfort. "It's Eric" Darcy finally spoke, making me remove my arm from Jane and lean closer, but how could I miss Jane's snarl towards Darcy. "What has happened?" Concern dripping through my words, Jane shifted then stood up, removing herself from our sight. Darcy gulped, sending me over the edge. "He's he's" she couldn't finish but immediately my mind went to the darkest of places, "is he," I bit my lip, she gazed up and saw my reaction, "no, no!" She reassured me. I stood up, getting frustrated with the lack of answers, "Then what is it!" I screamed, only to be disrupted by a males voice, Fury's voice. "Loki is back!"
