Authors note: I am dreadfully sorry for the severe lack of updates for this story. I've got no excuses, I've had the audacity to start new stories and not even finish my own, but the truth is I've been a little distracted and lost interest in this story to be perfectly honest. I am well aware that no many of you will read this and that's okay, I don't mind. This is just an apology.
I'm not really as infested in this story as I once was. It's not edited and littered with crappy writing.
I was tempted to write 'they all die in the end' that's how bad it got.
However to those who have stayed dedicated and read this story. Thank you. You're comment do inspire me to write more, it's like a little boost to say 'you're doing okay'
So as selfish as it is of me to ask, I would like some comments on whether I should continue or finish this story.
Thanks, Ribumblebee :) x
I awoke with a groggy and familiar feeling of fear.
The bed that lay around me felt sickening, rotted and unnatural.
The revelation of Loki'd feelings had left me dumbfounded, baffled and extremely unnerved. To discover, the one person I believed I could count on. The one soul I would have betted my life on. Had lied to me all my life.
Loki had left me, abandoned me to secure his own plans. In all honesty, I now realised I never knew Loki. He only showed me what he wanted me to see, what he allowed.
His haunting words and deadly actions plagued my mind, the compiled efforts of pulling on chains that he had secured around me and worrying about my companions had rendered my weak.
I knew that wasn't the only reason though, Loki was keeping me weak. Trapping me in this 'dream world' was enabling him to drain me of my power and take it for himself. Thor would soon feel the effects of the necklace and Loki'd abuse of it too soon.
Thor. Guilt hit me.
I would speak ill of Loki, judge him for his desperate and misplaced actions when I myself had committed something far worse.
I left Thor.
I deserted my family in our grieving process because I was too selfish to understand how they were dealing with it too.
Forgiveness, that's what I craved.
Loki craved acceptance, a place to deem his own. I believe Loki truly believed it was his right to rule, that he had been denied it all his life. Living in the shadow of Thor, I was the one that comforted him.
Yet, I claimed to understand how Loki felt.
In truth. It would appear I didn't.
"I'm sorry Loki. I'm so, very, very sorry"
