Jade's POV

I flinched away from Jason as he reached out to grab my wrist, I looked at him with widened eyes. I was still scared about how he was feeling and now that I had food in my stomach, I was thinking more clearly and was embarrassed I didn't want him to see my handy work again.

I didn't want him to be mad, I didn't want him to hurt me more.

He reached out again and this time took my wrist in his own hand, he then began unraveling the bandages lightly without saying a word, he looked down slightly turning my wrist to inspect the damage before letting out a sigh.

He then took out a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab from the first aid kit that sat on the nightstand beside where he kneeled in front of me, he pressed the wet swab down on my cut's. It stung, I let out a whimper which made his eyes shoot up to my face but he didn't stop cleaning my wounds.

When he was done with both of my wrist's he wrapped them back up in clean bandages, then left me by myself again to go back outside. He hasn't spoken to me all day, I didn't know why or what was going on in his head and it killed me, half of me wanted him to yell at me for doing something so stupid to myself.

I huffed, looking down at my hands which were still soaked with blood I felt dirty and wanted to shower. The past few days were still hazy to me and I felt drained.

I wondered if he had gone somewhere or was just sitting outside of the motel room, getting up from the bed I went over to the window and peered out, looking left then right. I saw Jason sitting on the bench outside the door having a smoke I watched him for a minute he had his hands over his face, his cigarette hanging from two of his fingers. He looked up as a car came into the parking lot before putting it back down.

It seemed like he was waiting for someone.

I sat on the couch I was kneeling on in order to look out the window and huffed. Would he care if I took a shower? I stared over at the door of the bathroom, maybe not. I wouldn't have that long if he decided to come back in but I could go and clean myself up in the sink quick.

I got up and quickly walked over to the bathroom, locking the door once I was inside then turning to look in the mirror, god I looked like shit.

I turned on the sink and began washing my face, some blood had managed to get on it, I don't know how but it was there. I started washing my hands being careful not to wet the bandages, when a frantic knock at the door made me jump.

"Jade?" he called out, I looked at the door scared. Not hearing anything from me he knocked on the door harder this time, twisting the knob and finding the door locked before he basically shouted, "Jade!"

I unlocked the door with shaky hands and opened it so I was looking at him, his facial expression looked as scared as I did before he shook it off and was replaced by the same saddened look he'd been wearing all day. My mouth gaped a bit while we stood there staring at each other.

"Sorry.." I said in the smallest voice I could, he shook his head.

"No, it's okay.. Just no locked doors, alright?" he gently told me.

I nodded my head, "O-okay" Then shut the door only leaving it open just a crack. I was at a loss for words with how nice and gentle he was being with me, I would have expected him to do alot after finding me like that but nice nor gentle were ever in the few choice things that I thought he would have done.

I finished washing up before skeptically walking back into the main room of the motel, then sat back down on the bed.

That's when I heard the yelling outside and went to the window to investigate. Looking out I saw Jason sitting in the same spot on the bench as he was before, two people stood in front of him chewing him out, I looked at the women and thats when I realized.

Was that... Karma?

Jason's POV

"Jason Alexander Kells!" I looked up from the ground towards the angry voice and found Karma stalking towards me furiously. I stood up from the bench I had been sitting on and opened my mouth to say something but before I could she was right in front of me telling me to shut my mouth.

"Where is she?" She narrowed her eyes at me looking ready to jump at my throat like a wolf and tear my throat out with her teeth, I didn't care though I narrowed my eyes right back at her.

"She'd better be okay." She spat.

I dropped my glare and thought back to the previous night's when I had beat her until she passed out from the pain, she had bruises all over her, she definitely didn't look okay. Then again, the kid did just try to kill herself so of course she wasn't okay.

I looked back up at karma with a softened look on my face, "She's fine.." I shifted my gaze to the side my voice was barely a whisper.

Karma threw her arms from their crossed position down to her sides. "God Jason.. look at all the shit you've caused!" she sounded like she was fighting to hold back tears. "And for what some fucked up feeling of possession?"

My head snapped up at what she just said, she had no right to call my feelings fucked up. She wasn't there that night she didn't know what I saw or what I had to do.

"You weren't there! You have no idea what happened.. what I saw dad do" I snapped "All because you were at some fucking sleep over I was the one who got fucked in the head that night, not you, not Jade!" My face twisted back to its angry state and I felt myself almost jump at her. "Why? Because I was the only one there I had to suffer for it?"

I heard a car door slammed and looked over to see Jody getting out of Karmas truck coming to stand beside her. They both looked with wide eyes at the angry look on my face. I didn't care.

"Why? Because I was the only one there I had to suffer for it?"

Karma looked shocked at the words that came out of my mouth, "T-that's no excuse! You weren't the only one who got hurt over that night, I still felt the loss of a mother!" The tears she was holding back flowed freely now.

I shook my head almost wanting to let out a sarcastic laugh but holding it back. "Then why did you never talk about it?! All that time I was there you just put that stupid smile on your face and acted as if nothing had ever happened!"

"I knew you'd come to me when you were ready to talk! I tried my best to raise you, for fucks sake I was only eighteen!" I just stood there fuming, watching her as she let out tiny sobs. "Then you just left, Jason, you left and you took Jade with you. And now you're making her suffer for it too!"

"Well maybe I didn't want to suffer alone!" I shouted as loud as I could. I was sure by now some people were looking at us, why not though? It was a free show. They may as well go buy some popcorn while there at it.

Karma just looked at me her crying had finally stopped. I took out the rings I had taken from Jade in the truck and threw them at her feet. "Here. Have a token, they never meant anything to me anyway's." Karma picked them up and looked at me after studying them, she knew I wasn't talking about the ring's but our parents. And it was true, they were both assholes and now their kids are even bigger assholes.

"You fucking bastard..."

Just as she finished her sentence the door opened causing all of our heads to spring towards it, Jade was in the door way.

"Karma!"
