it was new year's eve and killjoy was still in her lab. the party was in an hour and the young girl wanted to finish her turret upgrade before it started as she knew after the party she'd wake up to a headache. her ear buds were plugged into some music, focused on her work, and it was quiet. it was the perfect setting for killjoy's current mood and that was to be alone so she could focus.
she might've been too focused or her music was too loud because she didn't hear her door's hiss or someone walking into her lab. she was tapping her foot against the floor to the beat of her music until someone came from behind her and hugged her from the waist. this definitely made killjoy jump until she realized it was the brazilian. she just sighed at the sight, "izzy, maybe a heads up next time?" "i thought you heard me coming in!" it was obvious raze realized killjoy was distracted, otherwise she'd receive a friendly welcome killjoy gave everyone.
killjoy unplugged her ear buds to properly speak to her, "did you need something or just stopped by to say hi?" "i missed you, you silly goose! it's been awhile since we've properly spoken or hung out" raze frowned hoping killjoy would possibly leave her lab to talk to raze. killjoy was contemplating her decisions, 'i do need to finish this upgrade but izzy is right.. aw it's ok it'll be a quick finish when i return!' killjoy gave raze a smile, "ok izzy but if you explode anything else you are telling brimstone." raze just smiled largely "i promise i will! let's go now!" raze proceeded to literally drag killjoy out of her lab
"have you eaten yet Emil?" killjoy quickly put a hand over her mouth "Izzy i told you i'm not comfortable with you saying my name in public" killjoy said with a frown. raze nervously chuckled "sorry my bad my bad, i got too used to calling you that." killjoy sighed "don't do it again, now to answer your question no i have not. i got a coffee and started working in my lab since this morning." raze just had an unamused, "for the genius of germany you sure are dumb." before killjoy could respond, she was once again dragged to the mess hall.
they weren't serving any food currently but raze could quickly whip something up for their dear engineer. "you sit here em..killjoy. i'll quickly whip you up some food." raze gave her quick thumbs up before running off to the kitchen. 'what do now, i don't have my laptop on me, eggs not here, mm how boring.' killjoy groaned and decided to just wait knowing the brazilian wouldn't take wrong. she was just thinking about her bots and how to make everything better until foot steps were heard behind her.
