"Umm, all good, guys?" Hunter's voice chimed in as the tension around her and me broke like some crystal glass crashing on the floor. She quickly ran a free hand through her hair and my eyes started to scan her previous expressions of rage and furry again.
Nothing
Gone was that frustrated look, and now she looked all calm and composed with her breathing going to being absolutely normal as if there was never even a thing to be so God damned worried and pressed about. As if the last few minutes never even happened, as if I didn't just notice the wild changes of her demeanour. What is even going on at this very moment?
"Hey, you never introduced me to your friends!" her bubbly voice stepped in and her dark and scary voice retreated somewhere, I'm not sure if I want to find. My face shot towards her out of disbelief. She looked at my eyes and her gaze visibly softened as if she could see the storm brewing in my eyes. She quickly looked away as if she felt embarrassed for her actions and tried to conceal the whole thing with her smile. A smile, that seemed nowhere close to being real.
I gulped for the fifth time in the span of the last ten minutes and practically dragged my gaze from her and towards the boys. Ricky's eyes burnt holes in my face as he tried his level best to read the situation which just happened. I softened my looks of horror and did the same as Rose, smiling ear to ear. Hunter's expressions relaxed watching my peaceful expressions
Peaceful my foot
they all waited for the introductions. I brushed my hand nervously over my neck as I introduced the boys to her and she gracefully shook her soft hands with them, without looking mad or frustrated or even emotional. Instead she looked all bubbly and cheerful and somehow smoothened her messy hair locks, as if those few minutes between us never happened and all of the things which happened was something I was just imagining or as if I dreamt all of it.
The way she hid her real emotions and switched up personalities with an even changed version of her voice, shocked me to my core. I never quite knew that Rose was capable of such things, in this speed. She never really held this impression in my head. I know I might be judging her way too early based off on one incident but it wasn't on me that I was unable to control all the emotions which were going through my mind continuously after what happened.
Me and my friends, we used to gossip about these traits in a certain human being and we used to talk about how the hell was it even possible for someone to camouflage into another person.
Was I over reacting?
It should impress me, shouldn't it? I should want to learn this trait from her but somehow my mind just wasn't able to wrap around the way she shoved me backwards and I landed on the floor. I landed on the floor and she didn't even flinch, instead she hovered.
On top me of.
I imagined that scenery of her and mine in many different versions inside of my porno head, but this surely wasn't how I had thought or planned of it.
Ricky nudged me and I came back to the reality. I sheepishly stole a glance towards her, and she was looking at me with a weird expression as well. An expression, Iam not quite sure if I like. "What?" I asked, voice all dry and I might be mad at her as well. She raised her eyebrows as an expression of confusion danced on her beautiful face. An expression of confusion, umm, was that real? Or is she faking it?
"What, what?" she asked me back. I shook my head and looked elsewhere. "Umm, can I get you something?" asked Ricky to Rose. A question that should have left from my mouth as a curtesy, but I wasn't really ready to display any sort of emotions which I didn't want to display, at this very moment. Rose stared at me as if she is looking at some lunatic person. And honestly? I might as well even turn into one.
