'So who are these guys?' Rachel asked as she, Dick and Eleanor, all walked up to the dark blue door at the end of the hallway of a random apartment building, before stopping in front of it.

'Old friends... Truth is, I haven't seen them in a long time,' Dick admitted as he knocked on the door twice, not before hesitating. Eleanor was dying to find out who these friends were. They all waited patiently for the door to open, and when it did, it revealed a woman so stunningly beautiful, that it instantly made Eleanor sick— In a metaphorical kind of way, obviously.

'Hey,' said Dick casually, way too casually for anybody's liking. Eleanor looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

The woman looked at him and smiled before quietly saying, 'Hi.'

There was a pregnant pause before Rachel stepped forward with her hand extended.

'Hi. I'm Rachel,' she said before the two shook hands.

The woman then looked at Eleanor expectantly. Eleanor then remembered that she was a human being and standing in front of a stranger's front door like a total idiot.

'Right! I'm Eleanor,' she quickly said and forced herself between Rachel and Dick to shake her hand, accidentally shoving them ever so slightly.

The woman softly grabbed it and offered her a smile and laugh. As Eleanor stepped back, she got a stern look from both Rachel and Dick, causing her to raise her eyebrows in defence.

'Can we talk?' Dick asked her, shuffling in his spot impatiently.

'You're about four years too late, but sure,' she said and stepped to the side, allowing everyone to enter.

Eleanor was the last to walk through the doorway, closely following behind Rachel who commented on the size of the apartment with a kind, 'Wow, this place is huge.' A lot of the interior decorating was old fashion, but retro, giving the place a sense of warm welcoming vibes. Eleanor felt at home right away. 'I bet they have a lot of money,' Rachel said to Eleanor quietly, but everyone clearly heard her.

Eleanor looked at Rachel quickly as the blond woman hid her laughter by looking away. Dick closed his eyes and shook his head, suppressing a wince.

'Rachel!' Eleanor exclaimed, her eyes wide and eyebrows raised. Rachel copied her expression as the two of them moved to look out the large windows and at the street below.

Eleanor sat on a milk crate with Rachel, a hot cup of coffee between her hands that Dawn so kindly made for her. Eleanor had known the woman for less than half an hour and would one hundred per cent risk her life to protect her— She was by far one of the kindest and purest souls she had ever encountered. She had a certain quality about her. She was so softly spoken, and once again, beyond beautiful, but she was also so kind to her and Rachel, that Eleanor couldn't not love her

'What do you think they're talking about?' Rachel asked and glanced at Dick and Dawn as they moved to sit down on the lone bench on the other side of the roof.

Eleanor glanced over at the two and pouted a little in thought.

'Who knows, they've got a lot of catching up to do according to Dawn,' she said and took a sip of her coffee, looking back at the birds with a lack of interest. She had met a fair share of bird-named people in her time in Gotham, and it kind of turned her away from avians.
