That morning before breakfast, Maddie, Petey, and their son started building a new creation. The robo-rat 2000. "Are you finished building that mecha-endoskeleton?" Petey asked Lil' Petey.

"Almost, Maddie and I just have to attach the cables," Lil' Petey said, as he and Maddie were attaching cables using wrenches. That was when the doorbell rung.

"Doorbell!" Lil' Petey said, jumping from the table and running to the door. He started barking as Petey and Maddie followed him.

"I wonder who this is," Maddie said as she opened the door. She had a look of confusion when she saw an elderly cat, with 80-HD next to him. Petey and Lil' Petey peeked out, with Petey almost gasping in pure shock.

The elderly cat looked like Petey, only that his orange fur was pale, he wore a pair of glasses, he had a shaved beard, and the end of his tail was round.

"Wha? Who are you?" She asked as the cat looked at Lil' Petey with confusion.

"Petey?" The elderly cat said with confusion as he looked at Lil' Petey.

"I'm not Petey," Lil' Petey told the old cat. "I'm your grandson, Lil' Petey."

The cat then looked at Petey and Maddie. "And you are?" He asked Maddie.

"I'm...Maddie," Maddie introduced herself. "Are you... Petey's father?"

The cat looked at Petey. They stared in a long silence. "Dad?" Petey spoke.

"Well, don't just stand there like a statue, invite me in," Petey's father said before walking into the house. "Hey, nice place you got here, junior."

Maddie and Petey watched as Petey's father walked around Petey's house. "Thanks for finding my Grampa for me." Maddie and Petey saw Lil' Petey talking to 80-HD. Petey was shocked while Maddie was surprised. "I owe you one."

80-HD flew off and Lil' Petey turned to Maddie and Petey. "Did you bring him here?" Petey asked.

"Yeah," Lil' Petey answered.

"Hey, where's the food in this dump?" Maddie, Petey, and Lil' Petey heard Petey's father's voice before then they then heard the sound of glass of breaking.

Petey then looked at Lil' Petey with a stern look, his hands on his hips. "Um, I mean.." Lil' Petey said a little nervous. "Who, me?"

The three ran back into the house and into the kitchen. Petey's father was there, sitting  at the table drinking out of the milk carton. The fridge was opened, half of the food scatter on the floor along with broken glass.

"What's going on here?" Petey asked. Petey's father placed the milk on the table, stood up and faced Petey and Maddie.

"You and your wife shouldn't put your dishes up so high," Grampa told Petey and Maddie. "It's your fault they got broken!".

Petey was surprised. The part about his father blaming him for the broken dishes wasn't what surprised him. The fact that he thought Maddie was his "wife" did. Maddie seemed to be surprised by this.

"We'll clean it up in a minute," Petey told his father, he, Maddie, and Lil' Petey walking out of the kitchen.

"I'm sorry, Papa," Lil' Petey apologized. "I just wanted you to have your Papa back."

"My Papa?" Petey said before pointing at his father. "That guy abandoned me. Do you have any idea what that feels like?"

"You abandoned me once," Lil' Petey reminded him.

"You...you still remember that?" Petey asked. He was never fond of the memory. It made him feel guilty.

"Yeah," Lil' Petey said, before looking up at Petey.

"And we forgave you," Maddie added. They both stared as Petey's father broke more glass.  After a moment, they hugged.

Meanwhile, Sarah was reporting for breaking news as always. "Hello, I'm Sarah Hatoff with the news," Sarah started, Chief standing next to her as she held up a microphone. "Today, I'm gonna interview Chief."

"Thanks, Sarah," Chief said. "It's a great day for the city, because Dog Man had learned to focus."

Dog Man was with Chief and Sarah in the city. "You mean he doesn't go bonkers when you roll a ball anymore?" Sarah asked.

"Nope, allow me to demonstrate," Chief said, pulling out a red ball. Dog Man's  ears perked up and he smiled. "Hey, Dog Man, look, it's a ball! Who wants a ball? Who wants a ball? Doggy wanna ball?"

Dog Man froze and remembered how many baths he had to take when Maddie and Lil' Petey were trying to teach him to focus. He couldn't bear it. He didn't want to take a bath for the millionth time.

"C'mon, get the ball!" Instead of jumping and getting excited, Dog Man grew fearful and tried to get Chief to get the ball away. Dog Man tried to shield himself as Chief continued. "Who wazza bazza ball? Ready? Go get it!"

Dog Man jumped away from the ball and into Chief's arms, shaking in fear. Chief turned to Sarah, who looked Dog Man with sympathy. "See? Problem solved," Chief said, seeming like he didn't know how scared Dog Man was.

Dr. Scum was watching the news on TV, taking notice of Dog Man's fear. "It appears as if Dog Man's former obsession had become his greatest fear," Dr. Scum said to himself. He ran to his chalkboard. "This give me an idea. Say 'goodbye' to Crime Crabs, and 'hello' to Burgle balls!"

Dr. Scum had erased the legs and eyes off, making the Crime Crabs, now Burgle Ball, look like a ball with razor sharp jaws. Dr. Scum laughed evilly, now having a plan to destroy Dog Man.

Meanwhile, at cat jail, it was morning and Big Jim and the other cats were getting breakfast. Big Jim was in line with his tray, letting the lunch lady give him some food. As he was in line, Crunky and Bub were having a conversation of their own on Big Jim's head

"Hey, Bub, what did you whisper into this cat's ear last night?" Crunky asked.

"Well, my friend, there's an old saying," Bub started to answer. "If you turn a cat into a cupcake, you'll eat for a day. But if you turn a cat into a cupcake themed superhero, you'll eat for a lifetime."

"I love that old saying," Crunky said, liking Bub's idea over the old one.

"Me too," Bub said. "So all we have to do is wait for an emergency and all of our cupcake dreams will come true!"

"Help! There's a fight!"

Big Jim was eating breakfast with the cats at a table until he heard one yelp. He stood up from the table with a bold look, his hands on his hips.

He ran to the textiles room and started to make a suit. It didn't take long until he ran back into the cafeteria as a brand new superhero. Big Jim wore a white suit with red shorts, boots, gloves, and a long cape. He wore a black mask and he had a pink cupcake sewed to his chest as the symbol.

"Watch out, meanies, chill out, crime," Big Jim said as he ran. "It's Commander Cupcake time!"

There were two angry looking cats that were glaring at each other. Big Jim, AKA Commander Cupcake, ran into them before they could scratch or beat each other, sending them flying into the air like what happened with Chief.

Commander Cupcake ran over to a table with hundreds of cupcakes on it. The cats approached Commander Cupcake with amazement.

"Wow, Commander Cupcake just broke up that fight," a yellow cat said.

"Amazing," another cat said.

"And now he's eating every cupcake in sight,"  a tall brown cat said.

"Impressive," another cat said.

"He's the hero we all deserve," two more cats said.

The cat jail's inmates weren't the only ones happy. Every cupcake Commander Cupcake had gobbled up,  frosting and sprinkles were raining onto Crunky and Bub.

"We got cake, we got frosting," Bub said, holding pieces of frosting in his paws.

"Check out the size of this sprinkle," Crunky said, a sprinkle in his hands, already have taken a bite out of it.

"This is best day of my life!" They both said, hugging as more frosting and sprinkles rained.
