Chapter 12: A Farewell to Arms

The Raterpillar chomped and chomped, eating the Colossal Bot's arms. Soon, it didn't have any left. "You may have won the battle, but watch out!" Dr. Scum said. "Here comes the war!"

That was when eyes popped out and shot a gold laser beam as Dr. Scum laughed evilly. Petey and the Very Hangry Raterpillar we're encased in a charcoal tomb, and nearly everyone on the street below was horrified.

"Don't worry, nearly everyone," Cat Kid said. Maddie and I think we know what's going to happen."

Razor Claws and Cat Kid whispered to everyone. "So you two think you've got it all figured out, huh?" Dr. Scum asked, looking down at Cat Kid and Razor Claws. "Well, I've got four new armies."

In place of the old arms, four new arms came out, resembling a crab's pincers. "See? I keep them up my sleevies," Dr. Scum said. "Get it? Armies? Sleevies?"

Razor Claws, Cat Kid, Bark Knight, Lightning Dude, and their friends stared in blank silence. "C'mon, seriously?" Dr. Scum said. "Didn't my arm joke?"

"Nope, it was the pits," Cat Kid answered. The four new arms grabbed Sarah, Chief, Bark Knight, and Lightning Dude, who was holding Cat Kid while Razor Claws was on top of him.

"I make the corny jokes in this story," Dr. Scum said.

Meanwhile, Piggy was still riding on Daryl's back. "Okay, Daryl, here's the plan," Piggy started. "You're going to lower me into that museum, and I'm going to steal the world's famous hope mood ring."

"But Piggy, we can't steal," Daryl told Piggy. " We're the Friendly Friends!"

"Did I say steal?" Piggy asked before lying. "I meant protect."

"You see, a bunch of robbers are gonna try to steal it," Piggy started. "And we have to foil their schemes."

"Awesome!" Daryl said, believing Piggy's ruse. "Foil is shiny!"

Piggy tied himself to a rope. Daryl flew  up the roof where there was a vent. "Right, now lower me into that vent, and don't pull me up until you get my signal!"

"Ok!" Daryl said as he lowered Piggy into the vent. Piggy climbed through the vent until he was at the exit.  "There it is," he said, seeing the hope mood ring. He kicked the door and jumped out. "Come to Papa!"

Piggy landed on the hope ring. "I've got it," he said to himself. "What could possibly go wrong?"

Meanwhile, everyone was trapped in the hands of the Colossal Bot, Dr. Scum laughing evilly. The terrified cries for help echoed across the rooftops, and fell upon the ears of a hungry, hungry hero.
