I'll Sing You to Sleep... (Lumity Band AU)

Luz' return

"Ughhh" Luz groaned. She was trying to finish the lyrics to a song and it just wouldn't work.

"It just doesn't sound right!" She grumbled to herself.

She sat there for a while longer before having her struggles interrupted by a faint tapping at her window.

"What is it now?" Luz whispered under her breath, assuming it was one of her bullies taunting her again.

She opened the window and saw that it wasn't one of her bullies, it was Owlbert!

"Owlbert? Is it really you buddy? Or am I going crazy?" Luz asked the tiny bird as it flew in her room, a small letter in his beak.

The bird let out a hoot in agreement before dropping the letter in Luz' hand.

"What's this buddy?" Luz said while opening the letter.

"Hey kid, sorry it took so long, but the portal is back up and working!! Your friends really helped. Especially the youngest Blight-she practically lived here, she spent so much time working on the portal. Anyways I know you told your mom about the Boiling Isles and we were all wondering if you'd like to come back for the summer. Those two friends of yours, the short one and the plant one, even have a concert to take you to today if you want to come. This letter is getting long so just tell Owlbert to let me know if you're going to come and I'll wait for you by the portal, alright?

P.S King wants you to bring him human snacks." The letter read.

"Alright Owlbert, let's go ask my mom." Luz said while starting to walk out her room.

"Mittens!" Edric called his sister.

"What?" Amity replied sourly.

"We're leaving for the studio in 20 minutes so hurry up, get dressed and get your butt down here!" Emira yelled.

"Ugh I'm coming, I'm coming." Amity replied before getting up and yawning.

'Ugh I look terrible.' She thought as she looked in the mirror, brushing her hair.

She put on her studio clothes and ran downstairs to meet her siblings.

"The concert is in 3 hours, why do we have to leave so early?" Amity complained to her siblings.

"Because you always take two hours to get ready and it takes half an hour to get to the place." Emira said with an annoyed tone.

The rest of the trip to the studio was mostly silent with Amity sleeping through most of it.

Once they made it to the studio they each went to their rooms to get ready for the concert.

Amity's room in the studio didn't have much in it. There was a vanity, a couch that turned into a bed, an Azura poster, a small closet and a full body mirror in the corner.

She sat at the vanity and begun doing her makeup.

She had a few pictures on her vanity mirror, most of them being of her and Luz at the Azura book club. She had other pictures though, some were of the band, of her and Willow and even a couple of her with her siblings.

"Mama please?" Luz repeated for the fifth time.

"Luz, just calm down for a second. Mija all you told me was that you got that letter! What exactly do YOU want?" Camilla said.

"Well..I wanna go to the Boiling Isles again!" Luz pleaded.

"Alright, and do what there?" Camilla asked.
