I'll Sing You to Sleep... (Lumity Band AU)

The concert

Gus and Luz got inside with barely any time before someone started announcing the people in the band. Regardless, there was still enough time for Gus to mess with Luz a little.

"I'm going to go get snacks. Want anything?" He asked.

"No thanks." Luz replied.

"Alright." Gus said as he walked away.

A couple minutes later someone started announcing the band. Luz recognized the voice but couldn't quite put a name to it.

"Playing bass, we have the amazing Willow Park, on drums we have Edric Blight and working our famous illusions, we have me, Emira Blight!"

'Oh Amity's sister!' Luz thought.

"So now, everyone, give it up for our lead singer and guitarist, Amity Blight!"

'Wait AMITY?!' Luz was all of a sudden more excited to watch the band than before.

Amity walked across the stage with her guitar.

She looked stunning.
The witch was wearing black platform boots, a purple leather jacket over a black shirt and black leggings. Her hair was slightly longer and her roots were growing out a lot more.

"Hello Bonesburough! We have a great collection of songs to play for you tonight! And as some of you know today is the 1 year anniversary of our band, the Illusions!" Amity announced, tiredness lining her words.

"We'll be playing both official and unreleased songs from our first two albums tonight and will be starting off with an unreleased one titled Devil Town!" Willow picked up.

Then the music started, Gus still no where to be found.

'Amity's voice is beautiful.' Luz was mesmerized by the witch's voice.

Yeah, right, no one's gonna catch us now.

'Oh jeez, I forgot how heavy these lyrics are.' Amity thought as she spit out the lyrics.

Dad has bought a new cart now.

'Aren't her parents a sore subject..?' Luz thought.

We're fine. No one's gonna catch us now...

'We're?' Luz continued to think.

You said something dumb again.

'This must be about her being Little Miss Perfect.' Luz realized

She's mad, at least that's what they say

'Who's she?'

Mum and daddy aren't in love.

'Her parents...'

That's fine I'll settle for two birthdays.

Devil town is colder in the summertime

I'll lose my mind at least another thousand times

I still get a little scared of something new.

But I feel a little safer when I'm with you!

'Who is 'you'?' Luz questioned

Falling doesn't feel so bad when I know you've fallen this way too.

'Could she be talking about me? I mean I went through the same thing...? No probably not.' Luz kept thinking.

"Luz there you are!" She turned around to find Gus yelling at her.

"Come on let's go to the front!" He suggested.
