You remember all the Amity-almost-dying stuff?

Yeah well that was a couple weeks ago. Willow had told Luz that Amity made a full recovery, and was apparently very upset about it, but Luz still didn't have the heart to try to talk to Amity again.

Luz' POV:

"What if she tries it again?" "What if I can't save her?" I'm sitting on the couch across from my mom, who's sitting on the armchair. I decided to come visit her, what with all the Amity stuff going on.

"But mija, do you know why she did what she did?" My mom asked. I assume she phrased it that way as to not trigger me.

"No..."

"Well it seems like she wants you to figure it out." "I think you should try to figure it out and then try to talk to her again."

"I guess I could try that." "Thanks Mama. I'm going to go back now, Eda might need me at the market."

"Alright Cariño." "Have a safe trip back! And text me when you get there." My mom reminds me.

"Bye Mama!" I say as I start to make my way out the door.

Hey, author here! Sorry for the interruption but I'm going to continue writing in the past tense (unless there's a specific POV being used) because it's just easier for me but the rest of the story is taking place in real time unless said otherwise. Okay you can carry on reading now :)

"But Amity why did you do it?" Edric and Emira had been trying to get answers from their now-healed sister for at least a half an hour.

Amity remained silent.

"You know what? Fine. If you don't wanna talk, don't talk. Let's go Ed." Emira said sourly, annoyed at her sister's lack of assistance.

Trigger warning for the following small section: mild emotional abuse. All that happens is that odalia is upset about the cliff incident and about amity getting a B on a quiz. She eventually cracks amity and gets her to say she "hates the human" 💜

A few minutes after the twins left, Amity's door burst open, nearly creating a hole in the wall.

"Dearest mittens..." The voice sent a chill down Amity's spine. She wasn't in the healer's anymore. There was no one to defend her.

"...what has gotten into you lately?" "First you get a B on your quiz in abominations, THEN a few days later I'm informed that you tried to jump off of a cliff." Odalia slowly walked closer to Amity's bed until she was standing right next to it.

"And to top it all of, I hear that the one who brought you into the healer's was none other than that disgusting human." "Any of this ringing a bell, dear Mittens?" Odalia's voice was slowly getting colder and more aggressive as she spoke.

"I don't know why she saved me! I swear!" Amity pleaded.

"I promise mother!"

"I hate the human."

"Good. And remember Mittens, don't be such a failure in your studies or else that little band you and your siblings have will be terminated." Odalia began walking towards the door. "And I expect you to spend the rest of the time the healers demanded you stay in bed studying!" The witch said before closing the bedroom door behind her, leaving Amity in silence.
