I sat on a bench outside of the principal's office, waiting for Peter. Ben was called done to have a "chat" with them. This meant nothing good for Peter. I hope he wasn't getting expelled.

Being alone for the first time today gave me time to think. I don't understand how Peter was able to jump that high or move that quick. Maybe he was working out in secret? But, just yesterday, he was tripping everywhere.

And how was he able to hold the ball do tightly with a single hand, that Flash was sweating while pulling it with both of his?

This better relate to what Peter needed to tell me.

"I don't care about the backboard! Was that true?" I heard Uncle Ben come around the corner with his hands in his pockets. He seemed disappointed. I stood up but didn't walk towards them. I decided to give then space to talk and went by Peter's locker.

"What?" Peter asked, sounding a bit confused.

"What I heard in there just now? Did you humiliate that boy?" The stopped walking, now standing in the middle of the deserted hallway. Peter took a deep breath, probably not expecting the conversation to go this way.

"Yeah, I did," He extended his arms while still in the pockets of hid jacket, "But, this guy- this guy deserved it."

"Did he?" Ben said right after, giving Peter a cold look.

"Yeah."

"Is he the kid that hit you?" I guess Peter told him about their past fights.

Peter subtly nodded before giving him a pathetic, "Yeah."

"So all this is about getting even?" I could sense a lecture coming, "And so, I guess, you must feel pretty good about yourself, right? Am I right or wrong?"

Peter kept looking away from his uncle but Ben only tilted his head so he could look him in the eyes. Peter sighed, swinging his leg. His body language answered Ben's question

"Yeah, I thought so. Now thanks to this little escapade of yours, I had to change shifts as work. So you have to pick up Aunt May tonight at nine 'o clock, understood?" He instructed Peter.

Peter stayed quiet for few seconds, making Ben repeat himself. I felt bad for the man and a little disappointed at Peter myself.

"Yeah, yeah."

Ben must've just now noticed me standing behind him and gave me a small wave. I waved back, flashing an apologetic smile.

"Hey, Rose!" He raised his voice so Peter could turn around and notice me. He threw his head back once he saw me, already figuring out I'd heard the whole thing.

"Hi." I said softly, feeling embarrassed that I was caught staring.

He mumbled something I couldn't make out. Whatever it was, it made Peter blush a little. Ben pointed at him, looking at me.

"He's got you on his computer, by the way. You've probably seen it already but I thought I'd let you know." He winked at his nephew, walking down the hallway.

Peter stood with hid back facing me, letting out a few chuckles. I became of my face feeling warm. Embarrassed, I looked down at the ground. Peter had me on his computer..
