As of right now, this book is ongoing. I don't do many author's notes or A/N, but you needed to know this. This chapter has been re-written, removing a (sort of) important part of the story. To summarize what the old version of Chapter 12 was, Rosalie discovered Peter was Spider-Man. I wasn't satisfied with how that chapter came out after proofreading it. I know I can make that scene so much better than what I wrote before. This important announcement should really only concern those that are reading while this book is still in progress. Thank you for reading my book and enjoy the story!

"Passive transport doesn't require energy and is a simpler way compared to active- Rose!" I shot my head up at Gwen's raised voice. She crossed, her arms, pushing her textbook off of her lap.
"I'm sorry," I mumbled, fixing my hair and taking my closed textbook in front of me.
"What's going on with you?" Gwen questioned, lowering her head to look at my face hiding behind my textbook. I shrugged.
With teachers assigning all of these big projects and Peter disappearing to God knows where I've been having a hard time getting some sleep. I know he can take care of himself, but Peter's been very secretive with me for the past few weeks. Ever since I've visited the Parkers, he's just been acting differently.
"Nothing. Just tired." I simplified my answer, not feeling like pouring all of my problems onto her.
"I think it's time for us to take a break. What do you say?" She gets up from her recently made bed, piling her books and setting them on her nightstand.
"Do you have something in mind?" I sighed out, throwing my books off of my lap and standing up. A break sounds like something I really need.
"I was thinking we could go to this library down the street. It has this warm cafe and-"
"Seriously?" I threw my hands up, "We are going to stop reading and doing work just so we could go somewhere full of more books? No, not a chance. I'm choosing the place." I protested, knowing Gwen doesn't understand what real fun looks like.
"Fine. Where to?" She asked, leading me to her car. I hopped in the passenger seat, immediately changing the radio station to the one I like.
"There's this ice skating rink across the river that I have been dying to try," I explained as she pulled out onto the road.
"Oh, I've never gone ice skating before. Is it hard?"
"It's a lot like rollerblading, it's just on ice." I beamed at her, watching her nervous expression.
"Just don't let me fall on my face. That will cost you." She warned, pointing a finger at me.
Gwen was lucky she grabbed a coat on her way out. It was very cold tonight, at least, to me it was. I had on a nice, black jacket Jamie gifted me and some black boots to keep my feet from freezing off. Gwen always wore light colors, fitting her personality well. She had a beanie on with a creme-colored coat.
There was a long line of cars at a traffic light, giving us more time to make conversation.
"How are you and Peter doing?" She asked, nudging my shoulder. I couldn't even answer the question myself. He's been ignoring my texts these last couple days and has never once came over. But, that still doesn't tell me anything.
"What do you mean? I mean- he's doing fine, I think." I furrowed my eyebrow.
"Nothing is going on between you two?" She smirked, staring straight ahead. I shrunk in my seat, knowing what she was hinting at. I knew I shouldn't have told her what happened. That's all she has been bugging me about this week.
