My Little Green Flame

Previously: Izuku realizes his mates will look for him more. He goes to the beach and meets Hatsume Mei who nicknames him Enjina-chan. Izuku's beach made phone gets a new contact added to it. (Also for those in the previous chapter Mei calls Izuku 'gomi' and 'enjinia' for nicknames. 'Gomi' means Garbage/Trash/Rubbish. 'Enjinia' means engineer, which seemed like a better nickname than the translations to inventor, builder, and creator.)

Izuku's POV:

Over the past few weeks I have been taught the new, and more accurate, meaning of the word chaos. It's Hatsume Mei with zero adult supervision. I have stopped her from blowing herself up not once, not twice, but twenty times today! AND IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN AN HOUR SINCE SHE GOT HERE! Wait, it's oddly quiet... Too quiet.

"Mei-chan! Where'd you go?!" I yell. I hope nobody too shady is around, I just revealed my position to everyone within hearing range.

"I'm over here Enjinia-kun! I got someone to test our Babies!" She shouts back. I turn around just in time to see her dragging a boy around the trash piles toward our inventions. The boy, a black-haired alpha who definitely looks familiar, looks mortified. Why would he-

"What do you mean by 'Test your Babies!?'" He exclaims. Ah, that explains the mortified expression.

"By babies she means inventions," I tell him. He turns to me and suddenly I realize why he looked familiar, he's Kacchan's mate. I can tell he recognizes me by the way his expression changes.

"Oh, your Midoriya right?" He asks.

"How'd you know my name?"

"Kat told me about you. He said you have a fire quirk, that's really manly dude. Oh yeah, my name's Kirishima!"

"Thank you?" 'Manly'? What? "I take it Mei-chan here didn't tell you why she wanted you and just grabbed you off the street?"

"Err, yeah..."

"You are going to test our babies!" Mei says, dragging him away toward the first one she wants him to try.

This is a problem. It's bad enough with Kacchan being so close by but now Mei-chan has claimed his other mate as her invention tester, so he'll definitely be around here more. If this keeps up they'll find me before I'm useful. I'll be a burden. I can't let that happen.

"Mei-chan I've gotta go," I tell her. "I have finals next week and really can't fail them." If I do Inko will be enraged... Kirishima jumps in before Mei-chan can even open her mouth.

"I can help you study for them! I took mine last week and did pretty good on them," He says.

"I couldn't ask that of you, besides Mei-chan needs you to test our inventions," I assure him.

"See you later Enjinia-kun!" Mei-chan says. I give her a small smile and make my way home.

Eijirou's POV:

"You two make inventions together?" I ask the girl.

"Yep, I met him a few weeks ago! He's really smart, so our babies are really good!"

"He seamed on edge, is he always that jumpy?"

The girl nods her head as she fiddles with one of the nearby inventions.

"Usually, I think I've only seen him relax twice but even then..."

I can't help but to think back to how he looked. His stance was similar to that of the traumatized and abused kids that Iwa works with, and he had the same haunted look in his eyes. But more importantly, his eyes were green. The exact same shade of green as the mark that I stare at every day, longing for them to be safe.

I knew. Midoriya Izuku is my mate. My Little Green Flame.
