Previously: Eijirou tells Iwa and Kat that Izuku is their mate. It hits Kat hard and he leaves. Iwa promises to check on him and tells Naomasa the identity of Kat and Ei's mate. Naomasa starts planning the take-down of a mother and a school.
Bakugou's POV:
It really is De- Izuku. Don't call him Deku, he doesn't deserve that. You already made him miserable, the least you can do is try to fix it. It was all my fault. If I hadn't spent so long tormenting him then maybe Izuku would've been willing to talk to them. To let them protect them. But that would never happen now.
All the different times I had bullied and hurt Izuku cycled through my brain like a horrible compilation playing on loop. Of course Izuku wouldn't be willing to confide in them. He probably panicked as soon as he saw my writing appear on his arm.
Before I even realized it I had made it to the gym a few blocks away. Without much of a second thought, I went inside and headed straight for their extra durable punching bags. As much as it disgusted me this was the only reliable way to vent at the moment. Granted it was better than taking it out on my helpless soulmate as I had done far too many times in the past.
For a long time I stayed in that gym, mindlessly punching the bag. As the sun was setting Iwa showed up and pulled me away from the bag and out of the gym. She sat me down on a bench in the nearby park.
"Katsuki it's not your fault," Iwa starts. "You didn't know it was him. You didn't know what was going on in his life."
"But I should've!" I shouted. "I've known him since we were in diapers. I should've stayed with him. I could've protected him. I could've kept his trust instead of shattering it beyond repair. It's my fault he won't reach out!"
"Katsuki look at me," I turn to her. "We can't change the past, but we can change the future. You might not be able to go back and undo all the things you did, but you are able to show that he'd be safe with you now. And the first step to that is getting him out of that home." My eyes widened as I realized something.
"Iwa did you already put someone on his case!?"
"I called a detective a knew earlier, why?"
"If Inko finds out we're looking into her you can bet that they'll both be gone in a heartbeat. We can't let Izuku know either. Sure, he's grown to be a damn good liar apparently, but that won't be enough to save him if Inko sees the message or tortures it outta him. Come on, we gotta go make sure Ei knows not to tell him."
Iwa and I rush home and arrive just in time to see Eijirou about to write something.
"Ei we can't let him know that we know!" I shout, making him pause. "If he knows then his mom could find out and he'd be screwed. I don't even want to think about what she might do to him if she finds out we know. Or worse, if she finds out she's being investigated." As soon as the words escape my mouth Eijirou looks horrified and quickly puts the pen away.
"What are we supposed to do then? We need to help him somehow!" Ei exclaims.
"You continue doing what you have been doing. Providing moral support until the detective on his case gets him out of there." Iwa says. "Offer him a room here, give him your numbers, show that you two can and will be his safe haven. Earn his trust. When the time is right he'll come to you and you'll be able to protect him."
"But what if by the time he trusts us it's too late?"Ei asks, worry lacing his voice.
"It won't be. The detective on his case is the best of the best. Izuku will be out of that house within a few weeks. If he ends up attending UA like you say he wants to Katsuki, then he'll end up a ward of UA and might even get adopted by one of the teachers there. I promise you don't need to worry, he'll be safe soon." At Iwa's confident declaration both Eijirou and I relaxed slightly, glad he would be safe soon.
"For now you two should focus on preparing for the entrance exam. Doesn't the heroics one take place in a couple of days?" That statement catches both teens off guard and they look at the calendar to see that yes, the heroics entrance exam is indeed in two days. They had been so distracted by their soulmate that they had forgotten all about it.
"Eh, not much to prepare. My workout gear is ready and I have studied a little bit," I say, but Ei looks close to having a meltdown.
"I haven't studied at all. I'm gonna fail," He says, panic obviously on his face.
"I can help you study Ei, don't fu*king worry. Besides if the universe paired you with me then you can't be stupid."
"Thanks Kat," Eijirou said with a smile.

Hey, I know it's been a while, sorry about that. I was focused on school, then gave my brain a break from anything after finals were over. When I finally went back to writing my brain had many ideas for new stories and I didn't how to write this chapter. But as you can see I was finally able to write for this. Anyway, have a good day/night.
