Before we start, I'm changing the backstory again. Tam was forced to work for the Neverseen in order to protect Linh. I'm so sorry for all the confusion.

Sophie was sitting at her desk when Glimmer walked in.

Wait- Glimmer? She whipped her head around and her jaw hit the floor when she realized that her eyes had not deceived her.

Glimmer caught her gaze and pulled down her hood. Her raven black hair cascaded down her back in wavy curls and her eyes were the most vivid shade of sapphire. With high cheekbones and a heart shaped face, she was stunning like all other elves.

"Stop staring at me like that, it makes you look silly." She said with a cheerful smile on her face.

"You're probably wondering why I'm here and to answer your question, I'm working as a double agent for the Neverseen. This was the only time that I could sneak away to come back to the base. Your desk is really pretty by the way," Glimmer spoke quickly.

"Our technopath brought you imparter here and disabled all the trackers in your clothes so now you can wear your own clean clothes. By the way, I'm taking you to see our technopath now."

Sophie was still stunned and simply nodded her head.

Walking into the door of the technopath's room, she spotted a million and one gadgets, some finished and hanging on the walls, some halfway finished and lying on the table.

Her gaze traveled to the boy at the desk that looked about her age and saw a head of strawberry blonde hair.

The boy turned and she was once again stunned speechless to meet a pair of familiar periwinkle eyes.

"Dex?! WHO ELSE IS IN THE NEVERSEEN THAT I DON'T KNOW?!" She half yelled and half cried.

Dex's eyes filled with guilt but Sophie cut him off before he could speak.

"It's okay, I understand. Don't worry." she said in a more gentle voice, calming herself down.

When she didn't say anything else, Dex spoke and a cloud seemed to have lifted from his shoulders. "Thank you for understanding, Soph. It means a lot. You should go talk to Tam and Lin. They keep thinking that you leaving is their fault."

Sophie took a shuddering breath and nodded. With that, Glimmer led her out of Dex's room.

They were quiet for a moment before glimmer spoke, "Today you start training in areas like your skills and stealth. You will learn how to teleport without falling or running and learn to improve your other abilities too. If you manifest anymore, I trust that you will tell us.

There is also a ball to celebrate going into the new year. I'm coming with you to get your outfit." Glimmer winked and said in a cheeky voice.

Sophie's previous tension and unfamiliarity melted away and she groaned at the thought of going shopping.

They went back to their rooms to get ready and Glimmer pulled about a blue pathfinder and pulled her away.

Since Sophie couldn't be spotted anywhere in the list cities, Dex was going to find her an elixir to change her appearance. That was only for emergencies though.

After a long day of shopping, Sophie and glimmer flopped on Sophie's bed, dumping their bags on the ground

After a long day of shopping, Sophie and glimmer flopped on Sophie's bed, dumping their bags on the ground.

"I had fun today, Glimmer. You're my new best friend." Sophie smiled.

"I had fun too Sophie, my actual name is Dalphina and you're my new best friend too." Glimmer said while smiling.

Sophie lay on her bed and thought for a while.

Then, "Could you get Wylie, Marella, Linh and Tam in the Wanderling Woods at 9 o'clock today? I want to talk to them."

Happy New Year everyone!! School is starting and I don't have time to update. I'm so sorry :(Please don't stop reading this, please add it to your library.) Anyway, thank you for understanding! Constructive criticism is appreciated. Thank you for reading and stay safe! I hope you enjoyed it!
