||y/n's pov||new years eve||
yeonjun was coming over for new years because.. well he doesn't really have anyone to spend it with.
he arrived here at 2 in the afternoon and we've spent the entire day playing games with my family. it's been a really good day.
"YEONJUN!! WHAT THE FUCK?!"
i yelled as yeonjun placed down a 'pick up 4 card' for me.
"language lee y/n!!"
my dad yelled from the kitchen as yeonjun snickered at me.
"sorry dad! you shut up."
i said to him as i picked up my 4 cards, giving him a salty look.
"sorry princess y/n, didnt meant to ruin your life."
yeonjun said dramatically as he placed down a normal 4 card.
"we'll see whose life is ruined when i'm finished."
i said while smugly looking at him as he smirked and gestured to the pile of cards, indicating that i have my go.
"back to me, back to me, miss a go.. miss another go. UNO! and a 5."
yeonjun just stared in shock at the pile.
"what the- you just- i- what- HOW?!"
"the uno gods love me baby! they might love me more than you do."
i said as my mum walked in so i put up the fake relationship act up.
"now that's just not true, why would made up people love you more than me?"
he said while smiling at me which made my mum awe (and me secretly awe).
||1 minute till new years||
my parents were in the living room while yeonjun and i were on the balcony, wanting to see the fireworks they would let off in town. we had alcohol in our hands, ready to drink when the clock striked 12.
and soon enough, the countdown started.

yeonjun grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer to him.

"yeonjun, what are you doing?"

"i really like you y/n.."

"i've been thinking about it and.."

"i don't want this relationship to be fake anymore!"

he moved in closer to my face.

"i love you y/n!"

he put his hand on my cheek

"i love you too yeonjun!"

we both smiled at each other.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
yeonjun leaned in fully and kissed me on the lips, i responded back immediately and our lips moved together in sync. we heard the cheers of my parents and the cheers of the town celebrating the new year, the start of something new.
the fireworks went off causing yeonjun and i to pull away from each other and look at them.
we watched in awe as yeonjun wrapped his arm around my shoulder, holding his drink out to cheers with.
"happy new year darling.."
"happy new year love.."
we looked back at the fireworks with the biggest smile on our faces.
i know 2022 will be the best year of my life because i get to spend it with yeonjun.
with him, i feel as though i can accomplish anything.
with him, people's negativity seems insignificant.
with him, anything's possible!
and that's why i wish to not only spend my 2022 with him, but my life with him.
because even though this relationship may of been fake at first, we feel something for each other and that.. is powerful enough to conquer the word (metaphorically)
