Bumping Into A 'Superhero' (BIAS)

Chapter 02 : I'mma head out

It took me a while to get up. I just didn't want to. I didn't want to believe that I was just rescued by some cool muscular superhero that also catches me by my waist in some romantic pose and tells me I'm the only one who can help him.

Like this isn't some Wattpad book.

But I finally opened my eyes to see him waving at me from the window. "You again ?!", I shouted as I fainted again. Oh my God, how more embarassing this could get ?

I just wanna die at this point.

I opened my eyes slowly this time to ensure he wasn't around. But gladly there was no one except my mother.

"Momma !!", I cried as I hugged her instantly. "Did they hurt you ?", I asked as I checked her hands and face.
"Just a band-aid on the forehead", she smiled. "Don't worry our legal team will take care of that case. But from next time, if I say NO, it is a NO okay ?"

"Yes.. I'm sorry for what I did and thank you", I said as I looked around for a second time. It was some dream then. Hush.
"No actually you should thank him", she said as she called someone in. A guy somewhat my age came in with a mask.

My mom held my hand tightly. "Don't freak out honey", she whispered as he unmasked himself. I couldn't forget the face. It was him. The fast guy in the yellow suit.

I almost fainted again but this time my mom clutched my hand hard. "Oww", I complained. "This shouldn't be happening !", I said. "Is this another experiment of Dad's ? I'm done with all this SciFi shit. Leave me out of this !" I said as I tried to rush out.

But mom pulled my hand again. "Atleast listen to what he's saying", she said.
"Afterall that happened to Amruta", I said as I freed myself off her hold. "I can't believe you are telling me to deal with this supernatural stuff again."

I kicked the door opened. "I was really starting to think you cared about me. Thanks for proving me wrong", I said as tears rolled down my cheeks.

I called Uma, but she was busy with her new boyfriend. "Another bullshit relationship !", I screamed as I flung my phone out of the window, but soon regretted it and I tried to locate it.

I found it lying on one of the flower beds surrounding Psychiatric ward. I quicked it to and checked if it was still working. And clearly it wasn't. Can this day be anymore worse ?

"Anger issues. Nothing new I can say", I heard someone say. I turned around to see that same guy again. "I'm Tejas by the way."

"Nothing new you say.. what do you even know about me ?", I said as I crossed my arms across my chest.
"More or less everything", he smiled.

"Says the guy who introduces himself with 2 different names - first Satvaar and now Tejas", I stared at him. I thought it would make him uneasy but instead he looked angry.
"First of all its Satvar not Satvaaar. Tejas is my real name. Satvar is the alternate name I use when I wear the suit", he said.

"Hmm ok Satvar", I walked away.
"Why are you avoiding me ?!", he continued to ask but I didn't pay him any heed.

That's when it struck me. I had walked unknowingly to the restricted area. The area where Amruta was..

"This place !", Tejas walked in again as he seemed to remember something. "Hey Shankara, is this what you are trying to tell me ?"
"What are you blabbering about now ? This place is off limits", I warned. "You don't know what this place.."

"It's the place from where I came. When Akshit Jamadar and Durdrona they made this huge portal. There was this girl floating. Her eyes were white.."
"STOPP!!", I shouted. "Just leave me alone."

"I'm sorry..", he said as he left. I turned back as I regretted my harsh words. But he was gone already.

A cold breeze flew past me. I could feel someone glare at me. I noticed a pair of eyes watching me from the fallen building if the restricted area.
Do you miss me didi ? - I heard a voice in my head. My watch beeped all of a sudden alarming me of my increased heart rate.

I couldn't see the pair of eyes again. I was just hallucinating - I inferred. My phone buzzed and I picked it up. "Hello ? Uma ? Yess meet you at the cafeteria in 10 minutes. Cool."

I walked away as I took a quick glance at the area again. It looked odd today.

"What ?! Some superhero came in and saved you ! That's so coooolllll !!!!", Uma stood up in excitement throwing off her milkshake on my face.

"What the fuck Uma !", I complained as I wiped it off my pretty face. "Just because I don't like make-up doesn't mean you shower my face with milk !!"
"I'm so so sorry Sejal. I didn't mean to-", Uma tried to help me clean. But I pushed her hand away as I stood up. "Just go away. Leave me alone."

I left my table hurriedly as I dashed into Pranav sir. "What happened Sejal ?", he asked.

"Pranav sir.. you too go away. Leave me alone !", At this point, the words just came out of my mouth on their own. Instead of being angry, he was just confused as I walked away again.

I went to the bathroom and cleaned up myself. I realised how dumb I've been acting since that guy showed up. I didn't hate him actually. But it's just that I did actually see him coming through the gate this morning..

That's when I heard someone sobbing in the corner. The teenager kept on mumbling something - Didi, why did Vedant do this to me ?

Shit.

I prepared to run but my legs froze.
She.. Amruta.. raised her head - Why did he kill me didi ?
