Chapter 11 : Reset

It's been weeks since we broke up. Aai Baba revealed the incident to the police and media. Satvar has now been rebranded as an associate of HEA by the media.

There were even allegations against REDZ as Sejal.. I mean Dr.Sejal had declared Satvar (me) as an acquaintance. And Satvar (the negative one) is nowhere to be found.

The CoV outbreak started the next day. Today was the first lockdown government had imposed. Morning to evening. People were thinking this one-day lockdown was going to eradicate CoV once and for all. Now, who's going to tell them ?

It was all good till Aai woke me up. "Tej.. Teja..", I could hear her gasping for air.
I got up from my bed and asked her about her condition. "She had a fever all night, but didn't bother to tell anyone", baba commented.
"Aai, nothing will happen to you, I'll get you to the hospital", I assured her.

I got her onto my bike and baba helped me support her. I raced the bike triple seat to REDZ. The police tried to stop us but seeing Aai's condition, they let us go.

I admitted her to the emergency room. I knew it was CoV. She was infected. I told Baba to cover his nose and mouth with a handkerchief. I did the same too. I didn't want to infect anyone if I had the infection too.

That's when I noticed someone. Dr.Sejal, she was quarreling with some guy. Lalit.
"We know it doesn't end here. It's going to be months of lockdown. How do you expect patients to come here risking their lives ?!", he yelled.
"I don't know Lalit. We'll figure something out. But shutting down Project Affection won't help", she tried to make him understand.

"It's your mom's decision !", he said. Dr.Sejal stopped. "She said she wants the old Sejal back. She wants us to get married", that guy - Lalit said.

What ?!
I neared the place to hear more.

"That's.. that's not possible..", she said as she walked away.
"But why ? I have enough qualifications. I can run this place better than anyone. I even have political relations", he said as he held her wrist and stopped her. "I'll never leave you Seju !"

That's when I saw something approaching them. Something fast.
"You sure about that ?", Dr.Sejal asked him as she noticed the same thing too.

Negative Satvar stood before them all of a sudden as he rushed in. "Hello Sejal.. sorry sorry.. Dr.Sejal !"
Lalit ran away as soon as he saw him. But the Satvar reached him before he could flee. He threw Lalit away into the shrubs. Lalit screamed as the thorns pierced his skin.

"What do you want now ?", Dr.Sejal asked.
"You", Negative Satvar said.
"I know what you want.. you love me. You want to get us married. Have kids, start a family..", her voice cracked.

"WRONG !", He roared suddenly. "All I want is your dead body !"

Shit. Shit. Shit.

I ran towards them but I didn't have any speed left. All I could see was Negative Satvar raising his arm up, about to attack Sejal..

But suddenly he was thrown off from the ground. "Expecting someone else ?", It was Mayuri. She had a pink aura around her hand. Satvar rushed in again but Mayuri opened a portal and sent him elsewhere.

"Ohhh Mayuri", Sejal hugged her. "I knew you would help me out."
"Uh hey..", I greeted.
"He's here again !", Sejal freaked out.

"Hey hey it wasn't me. It was the guy I warned you about when we all met. The Negative Satvar. It's a version of me from the future", I explained.
"But he had the same costume as you. There wasn't even the negative sign as you mentioned", Mayuri pointed out.

"I know why he's doing this. But trust me that isn't me. It's him.. Watch out !", I quickly pulled Sejal away. Negative Satvar rushed in and landed a blow on Mayuri, sending her off. But she absorbed the attack and tried to counter-attack.

He deflected it quickly and punched her again. Mayuri did have powers as Vedant said. But she couldn't use them to her advantage. Negative Satvar on the other hand took full advantage of his speed.

He soon defeated Mayuri and crushed her to the ground. "I've always hated you vahini."

That's when I saw another portal opening. Vedant jumped out of it in his phoenix fighter armor. He rushed to Mayuri and helped her get up. "Dr.Sejal, help her !", he said. Sejal took Mayuri inside the hospital. By now, the deserted-looking REDZ campus was filled with officials and others.

"Look who's here ! The great phoenix fighter himself", Negative Satvar announced sarcastically.
"Enough with the talk. How dare you lay a finger on Mayuri ?! She had nothing to do with this", PF roared.

"She was the one who interfered !", Negative Satvar rushed towards PF. PF deflected him by changing his stance at the last moment.
"You can't defeat me this time. I know all the tricks of your infinity !", he hissed as he charged again.

"I don't need the lemniscate to defeat you", PF blocked his attack and kicked him in his chest. He landed another blow on the helmet as it cracked. The Satvar continued to attack him with insane speed but PF could deflect his every attack with his 'martial arts.'

Negative Satvar was taken aback. He realized that PF was invincible. That's when all of sudden, PF fell to his knees. "Is that really you ?..", he mumbled something but I couldn't hear it because of his mask.

Negative Satvar was confused too. He chose to run away but I obstructed him. Suddenly, I could feel electricity around me.
"You don't even have your powers !", he warned.
"You sure about that ?", I said as I felt a surge of electricity enter my body.

The fight repeated the same as it did in Timeline-1. I had somehow got my speed back. I was able to defeat him easily. To finish it off, I landed a punch on his cracked helmet to reveal his face.

I was taken aback. It wasn't the face I'd seen in Timeline-1. What ?!

"No. No. This wasn't supposed to happen !", he screamed as he ran into a portal and disappeared. I felt my powers leave my body. The electricity around me disappeared.

What's this supposed to mean ?!
