Chapter 17 : Hyperlink 3.0

I quickly held his other hand.
I felt like I just disconnected from my body. I was in an empty space.

"AVNII ? WHERE ARE YOU ?!!", I heard Akshit's voice.
The scene around quickly changed to a terrace. A girl was standing at the edge. She turned around as another voice - subtle began asking her if she was alive and others.

It was Akshit's voice too. But it was different.
"Avni.. whoever she is. She's safe..", I said.
"Dr.Sejal ? How are you here ?", I heard a voice in my head as the scene faded again.

"Just like you care about Avni. I care about someone too. Tejas is the love of my life. And he is in danger. I need your help to save him. Please help me", I pleaded.
"Ok where do you want to go ?", Akshit finally relented.

"REDZ Vashi-" Before I could say it, we were there. I could see Tejas and Negative Satvar fighting. Tejas could somehow match Negative Satvar's speed. Maybe he absorbed the residual energy again. That's when Negative Satvar noticed something strange.

He stopped fighting all of a sudden and backed out.
"What are you doing ?", Tejas asked him.
"What's this strange energy..", Negative Satvar muttered.

"It's nothing ! Just some random electricity", Tejas yelled. But Negative Satvar didn't seem to agree with him.
He pulled some of the energy towards himself. And it reenergised him. "I get it. How you.. who had no speed till now.. suddenly got fast enough to stop me !", He pointed out and kicked Tejas.

Negative Satvar purposefully kept on throwing punches at him so that that he could move away the fight from REDZ.

"This isn't good", I remarked as I tried to run. But I couldn't.
"Your body is still at Plexon. If you run now, you'll continue there itself", I heard Akshit's voice again.

"I can't see this", I said as I saw Negative Satvar badly beating up Tejas. He broke his helmet and held him by his neck.
"Even if I kill you, I'll still be alive. Because this is how time travel works", he said as he pulled off Tejas's head..

"NOOOOO !!!!!", I shouted. The scene faded away instantly.
"I know how it feels. I've gone through the same fate. But I think I can help you", Akshit suggested.

"I don't know.. I don't know if I can do something", I sighed.
"What if we tell Tejas not to go there in the first place.. he'll not die if he doesn't fight.."

"No, this was our best chance to defeat him. No one can defeat Negative Satvar except Tejas.. except Satvar.."
"And there is just one Satvar ?"

That's when it hit me. No there isn't.
Tejas always told me how there were 3 Satvars in his timeline. Him, Negative Satvar and..
Me ? The Zero Satvar !", I exclaimed.

"Wait what ?! Even you have superspeed ?", Akshit asked.
"No. No. I should have a power to be immune against speed or any type of kinetic energy.. that's what Tejas told me.. but I know I haven't got it yet.."

"Try to remember, when did the other-you get it ?", he asked.
"20 days ago. Morning", I tried to remember. The world around me synced with my mind as the scene changed to REDZ again. Just before 3 weeks.

I could see Mayuri fighting off with Negative Satvar. That's it. If there's residual energy from timeline-1 peeping into timeline-2, the explosion in timeline-1 that had me the ZS should also leave some residual energy.

"I have a plan, but how should I actually enter this scene ?", I asked.
"I don't know. I didn't get into the scene the last time I time travelled. That too accidently", he said.

That's when I realised, I had held Akshit's hand when the marble had started to glow.
Maybe that's it. I felt Akshit's hand in my hand, I clutched it hard.

He too understood it. "All the best", he wished as I left his hand.

I found myself near the wounded Mayuri.

"Dr.Sejal, help her !", Vedant said as he rushed in. I had taken Mayuri inside the hospital in the original timeline. By now, the deserted looking REDZ campus was filled with officials and others.
"Dr.Sejal ?!", Vedant reminded me again.

"You know what ? Take her in yourself !", I said sternly.
"Dr.Sejal, you need to understand this isn't the time", he explained.

"Look who's here ! The great phoenix fighter himself", Negative Satvar announced.
"Enough with the talk. How dare you lay a finger on Mayuri. She had nothing to do with this", PF roared.

"Vedant ! Wait ! I know what I'm doing. So I'm telling you..", I intervened.
"Dr.Sejal why are you doing this..", he said as he reluctantly carried her in.
"Mom's sitting in her cabin in the right. She'll get her admitted in the special ward", I said as he went in.

"Where are you running PF ?", he laughed as he noticed Vedant fleeing. "I'm going to add this to my achievements list. I made the phoenix fighter run for his life !"

I walked to the site where the residual energy would eventually cover Tejas. "And now the very reason I came here..", Negative Satvar looked at me.
"Not so soon", Tejas smiled as he rushed to me. Suddenly, I could see a cloud of electricity around him.

"What's happening ?!", he asked me as the electricity empowered him.
"You just got your powers back. Keep him busy", I nudged him.

"You don't even have your powers !", Negative Satvar warned as he rushed towards us.
"You sure about that ?", Tejas said as I deflected his attack.

The fight repeated the same as it did that day. Tejas was able to defeat him easily. To finish it off, he landed a punch on his cracked helmet to reveal his face.

Tejas was taken aback though. It wasn't the face we had expected. It was Tejas's future self.. but his body was deteriorating. It was almost like a living corpse.

"No. No. This wasn't supposed to happen !", Negative Satvar snapped as he ran into a portal and disappeared. The electricity around Tejas vanished too.

I knew this was the time the fight finished and the explosion would occur.
But that's when another portal opened. It was him again. Negative Satvar.

"You think you are smarter than me ? If you will absorb the residual energy from the our fights, then I'll absorb the residual energy from the explosion that created Zero Satvar", he declared.
