Chapter 03 : Finding Vedant

I screamed and kept on screaming.
I noticed lightning again as I found myself in mom's cabin. Not again.

"Sejal ?! What happen-"
"I found her screaming in the bathroom", Tejas responded even before mom could finish her question. "No, she was not in a compromised position", he added as he noticed the expression on mom's face.

Seriously ?

"Is it about Amruta again ?", she asked. I simply nodded. "You skipped your meds again, didn't you ?"
"Mom, I'm telling you COZART-V won't work..", that's when I realised we weren't the only ones in the room. "Why are you listening. So you even know-"

"I know about Amruta. She was your younger sister. You too were really close. And Ve.. someone killed her", he blurted out.
"Why did you pause abruptly before Someone ?", I pointed out.

"It's.. it's nothing..", he swayed his head sideways.
"You do know something", I said as I got up.

"Sejal. This isn't time for that. Tejas says you aren't helping him", mom tried to change the subject.
"This isn't time for that either. You tell me what you know and I help you with whatever you want. Deal ?", I pulled out my hand.

"I just heard it from you once or twice that Vedant killed your sister. But I don't know for sure what exactly happened", he said after taking a deep breath.
I looked at mom. She just turned to her work again. "Try not to get yourself in trouble again", she said as we exited the cabin.

"So we're good again ?", Tejas said as he smiled.
"Don't get your hopes high. I'm just trying to get to the truth and expose that Vedant !", I muttered.

"So what next.. err ma'am ?"
"We are going to Alibag. Let's find that bastard", I said as I opened my phone's gallery. I had a photo from the register, having Vedant's address.

"Could you please slow down a bit ?", Tejas complained as our car bumped into a speedbreaker.
"I thought you liked speed", I said sarcastically as I increased my speed even further. It took us 2 hours to reach Vedant's house.

But it was locked. I looked at Tejas, he swayed his head away again. "You're hiding something again ! You know where he is", I pointed out.
"He moved to a different place.. but I'm sure he won't be there either", he said.

"Then where is he ?"
"Track-21."

"Let's get moving then", I said as I rushed towards the car. We rushed to this Track-21 as we found ourselves in a pretty deserted area within minutes.

There was an abandoned warehouse in the corner. "I'm sure he's doing something nasty as always", I said as I rushed towards it.
"I don't think we should barge in unannounced", he warned.

"Or what ? He'll kill me ?", I said as I kicked the door. It was weaker than I expected and it broke apart revealing two teenagers literally on top of each other and.. ewww..

"Umm.. OOPS ?!", Tejas freaked out at the sight. The girl on top of Vedant fell down and things around us started to levitate all of a sudden. "Who are you ?!", she asked. Her eyes were literally glowing.

Vedant jumped up too and took a quick look at us. "Dr. Sejal ? And.. Satvar ?!!!", he exclaimed. But wait.. how did he know about Satvar ?!
"Why are her eyes glowing ?!!", I asked.

"She has superpowers", Tejas tried to calm things down.
"Who are these guys, care to explain ?", the girl asked.
"Why does she have superpowers ?", I asked.
"I didn't do this purposefully !", Tejas gave in too.

"Can everyone just.. shut up for a while ?", Vedant seemed pissed off. I guess I just crashed into his little romance moment. Gross.

"It hasn't even been half a year and you already found yourself a new girl ? Seriously how shameless can a person be ?!", My words were cut short by-

"Just shut the fuck up already !", He yelled and turned to Tejas. "This isn't happening.. just tell me you didn't time travel on your own."
"Ik this is messed up. But I came here from the future", he said.

What ?! Why didn't he tell me that-
That's when I realised I was the one who kept putting him off from the very beginning.

"I think I messed up the timeline which you are trying your best not to mess up", he sighed. I didn't know what he was talking about but I definitely understood one thing - he fucked up.

"Let's all have a seat and talk about this", that girl advised. We did accordingly as we started the discussion.

"First things first. I'm Vedant aka the Phoenix Fighter", he said. Wait what ?!-
"She's Mayuri, one of the sky warriors", he pointed towards the girl.

"She is Dr. Sejal, daughter of Dr.Arjun Gaikwad", he said as he turned towards me.
"And he is.. Tejas. Who is soon to be a new superhero named Satvar."

"You are putting together a team of superheroes ?", Mayuri asked.
"Yeah, it's Amruta's idea. She warned me of something coming for us in the future. It's beyond our understanding and beyond everything we've handled so far. We need as much power as possible to fight it."

"Is it Durdrona again ?"
"No, something even more frightful. But whatever it is, it's going to be because of him. It's something that he wants to accomplish."

"First things first, how did you get here in the first place ? Who taught you to time-travel ?", Vedant turned to Tejas again.
"I didn't do it on my own. I just ran into a portal that was already created by someone", he stuttered as he spoke.

"Who was it ?"
"It was Akshit Jamadar. He was with Durdrona, but it felt like he was being controlled by the latter. He had a machine in his hands. It was triangular and was radiating an insane amount of energy."

"Uh oh. It's not like I didn't see it coming.."

"This Akshit had access to the Infinity Gate Chamber too ?", Mayuri asked.
"No, he doesn't. He didn't make the portal using Infinity. I think there exists an energy source other than the Infinity. Something that we don't have any idea about.

And I think Durdrona already has it."
