CHAPTER 1 - WHEN THE HYUNGS ARE TAKEN

Honestly, life before and after the military was quite different. No, scratch that. It was totally different. Before I went into the military, I knew that Jackson hyung was in a relationship. He dragged us to Singapore to shoot the MV for our short comeback and introduced us to Ellie noona. I was just out of military when he invited us to his wedding. I was visiting my parents, and his invitation was a bit sudden so I couldn't come. Mark hyung also couldn't attend his wedding at the end because his flight was cancelled. Yugyeom was still in the military so there were only Jaebeom hyung, Jinyoung hyung, and Bambam who attended the wedding. He said it was okay since he would hold another small celebration party in Korea as well as the press conference.

Jackson hyung's story was pretty complicated. I heard from Bambam that actually he had been married to Ellie noona when we met them in Singapore, but it was an arranged marriage and they had to keep their marriage a secret because they stated it in a contract. Then they fell in love with each other, and had to get a divorce since they both broke the contract. Ellie noona was out of his life until last year and they met again when Jackson hyung was hospitalized. Then of course, Jackson hyung wouldn't let her go twice so he worked hard to win her heart for the second time. Well, he succeeded at the end, hence the wedding. For a second there, I thought Bambam was telling me a drama story, and not Jackson hyung's story. I thought he made up those things but Jinyoung hyung said it was true.

However, things seemed to happen twice the speed after that. I knew Jaebeom hyung was in relationship even before military but he really took it slow. And by slow I meant reaaallllyyyy ssslllooooww. I bet even snail walked faster than his relationship. I bet if Jinyoung hyung (with my help, of course) didn't push Elle noona back then, probably Jaebeom hyung wouldn't confess or do anything on his last day before he was enlisted. Even after military they were still just .. in relationship.

But the rest of the hyung line? I didn't know what happened exactly. Did they bet on whoever get married last lose? Since Jinyoung hyung and Mark hyung also got in relationship after that and proposed to their girlfriends. Separately. But in a short time span. Mark hyung caught us by surprise the most actually. Up until he was back in Korea, we didn't know that he was in relationship. For more than two years, on top of that. But he said it was a long distance one, so he didn't feel like to be in a relationship much. Aside from the holidays when he visited her, they didn't spend much time together.

I still remembered the day we found out about Mae noona. We were ordered to get a full health check up by Ellie noona. Actually, she wanted to get Jackson hyung to go through the checkup, but he refused to do it alone so he dragged all of us. I was planning to get one actually, so it was rather a good timing. We met this hospital administrator that told us everything about the checkup procedure when I noticed Mark hyung was looking at the hospital administrator. No, he was staring at her to be exact, and not just looking.

"Hyung, your eyes will popped out of the socket any time soon if you keep staring at her like that," I teased him. The others started to tease Mark hyung as well, but he kept staring at the hospital administrator.

"I believe you haven't told us your name yet," Mark hyung totally ignored us and started to talk to her.

"I'm sorry. I should've introduced myself earlier. I'm Maeve and I'm the nurse manager here. Should we wait for Doctor Ellie or do you guys want to go to your room now?" and before we got the chance to answer, Ellie noona came. She ordered us to go to our rooms as planned by Mae noona, the hospital administrator. We were about to leave when we heard Mark hyung spoke up again.

"And who should I kill for helping you working here?" Mark hyung directed his question at Mae noona. We were surprised when we heard his question.

"Hyung, do you know her?" Jinyoung hyung started to question Mark hyung but Mark hyung ignored him.

"No one. I applied here myself before I found out that one of the doctor here," Mae noona pointed to Ellie noona, "was the wife of one of your members," she pointed to Jackson hyung.

"What about accommodation? Does the hospital provide accommodation?" Mark hyung kept asking, making us whisper to each other to find out what was going on, but apparently no one knew anything, not even Yugyeom. Apparently he just told Yugyeom that he was seeing someone without giving more details about it.

"No, I was lucky she," again Mae noona pointed at Ellie noona, "still had her lease for another year, but she had to move with her husband," again, pointing to Jackson hyung, "so, the landlord agreed to let me take over the lease for the rest of the time." Mark hyung then turned to Ellie noona with angry face but Jackson hyung immediately covered for her.

"Hyung, wait a minute, she has no idea who she is. You didn't tell us about her either," Jackson started his defense. Mark hyung took a deep breath and started to calm down.

"Anyone mind telling the rest what the hell is going on here?" Jaebeom hyung cut them and demanded for an answer.

"Well, everyone, this is Mae. She's my girlfriend," Mark hyung suddenly announced, making the rest of us had our jaw dropped. After a while, Bambam broke the ice and introduced himself. Then one by one, we introduced ourselves to Mae noona. Apparently she was the same age as Jackson hyung. So now, instead of just the Jaebeom hyung, Jackson hyung, and Jinyoung hyung, we got two more addition to the 94 liners. Jaebeom hyung as the oldest being born in January, then Jackson hyung and Mae noona both were born in March, then Ellie noona in June and at last Jinyoung hyung in September.

A bit before that, Jinyoung hyung dragged us, me and Bambam to S hospital to take Ellie noona out for lunch. Jackson hyung apparently kicked them out after the wedding so they hadn't gotten the chance to interrogate her, so Jinyoung hyung reasoned that it was the best time to interrogate her. Jackson hyung couldn't visit her at work since he couldn't risk her identity being leaked to the media, so he only grunted when he met us at the studio. I remembered he complained of Jinyoung hyung using Ellie noona as a front but at that time we didn't know which one Jinyoung hyung was seeing among the doctors or nurses that we had met. Just a little bit after Mark hyung told us about Mae noona, I heard Jackson hyung and Jaebeom hyung teased Jinyoung hyung about Seonyoung. We found out that she was the ER doctor in the same hospital as the others.

However, it was easier to get closer to Seonyoung as she was the same age as me. We, the maknaes line, were easily befriended her. Jinyoung hyung brought her once to the studio, but he said it was a mistake. She was the same as the other noonas, all were clueless about us. Well, probably it was because of their line of works that they didn't have the time to keep up with the entertainment world. They probably didn't even know GOT7 at first.

However, we, maknaes, tried to teach Seonyoung about K-pop a bit. With Elle noona, it was a bit difficult since Jaebeom hyung was very protective. With Ellie and Mae noona it was almost impossible because they were very busy at the hospital. Seonyoung, on the other hand, even though she was busy as well, but since she was around our age, we clicked faster so it was easier to teach her about K-pop. We let her hear some of our songs before Bambam and Yugyeom took turn playing something else. Yugyeom introduced her to BTS because he was close friends with Jungkook, and Bambam played Stray Kids because he was close to Bangchan. When we asked her which one she liked better, she picked Stray Kids and that got Jinyoung hyung mad. We were laughing our ass off when he became grumpy and banned Seonyoung from hanging out with us again.

Their relationship faced a bumpy path when someone assaulted Seonyoung. However, Jinyoung hyung managed to help Seonyoung out of her childhood trauma as well as won her heart. Funny thing was, on our last day of fan-signing, Jinyoung hyung apparently was supposed to propose to her, but Mark hyung beat him. On the stage, suddenly Mark hyung proposed to Mae noona first so Jinyoung hyung cancelled his plan. But he proposed to Seonyoung a little after that, making us having to go to two weddings, back to back, in two different places, separated by the Atlantic Ocean.

Now, half of GOT7 were in a relationship, leaving us the maknaes. Tsk, I wondered how come our hyungs, our cool hyungs, got sidetracked by love and became weak. Even Jaebeom hyung had lost his teeth. He wasn't that scary anymore. Ahh.. What would happen to our group now? Could we still keep up with works? Juggling between relationship and work? Haiisshh..
