Everything started to get better. The recordings were slow but sure. Jaebeom hyung and Mark hyung managed to find the perfect balance to send the recording back and forth. One by one the songs were recorded and mixed. The trainees also worked better. The vocal trainers and Yugyeom's team have been working hard to train them. They've passed two evaluations already. So far so good. Hyebin? Well, I've been busy but I did keep my promise and took her out every time I had a day off. I took her to watch some movies, to Elle noona's cafe and other places. She got along with Elle noona pretty well. But, Elle noona got along with everyone easily, so it wasn't that hard for Hyebin to get along with her. After going out with her for four or five times, I didn't have time to ask her out again for quite some time. Which was suck. I missed spending time with her again.
I was just walking to my office when my phone vibrated. I looked at my phone screen and it was my sister.
[Sorry, I'm sending Jaehyun and his teacher to the company]
[He's on study trip and got caught up in traffic jam so they were late, his dad has gone home already]
[I'm still on a meeting. I'll head to your company in 15 minutes to pick him up]
I muttered a curse inside. Today's traffic was pretty bad, indeed. I looked at my watch, it was pretty late already. Considering Jaehyun was on study trip earlier, I bet he hasn't had dinner yet. I ordered some food so when he arrived he could eat first while waiting for my sister. I headed inside the elevator, unconsciously muttered another curse when the elevator was going really slow. It stopped almost at every level, making the journey even longer than usual. When it reached the ground level, I heard some commotion and some people rushed in the direction of the main door. I got off, trying to find out what was going on. I walked past the crowd and finally when I got at the front, I saw what was happening right outside the main door. Subin noona made another fuss, only this time, she picked on the wrong person.
"I'm sorry, but can you please step aside? I only need to escort this kid to his uncle," I heard Hyebin said, trying to walk past Subin noona, but the later didn't budge.
"Don't you feel ashamed for using a boy to seduce someone?" she poked Hyebin's shoulder with her finger, quite forceful that made Hyebin walk backward a couple steps.
"I'm sorry, but this is his mother's request, so can you please step aside?" Hyebin repeated her request.
"Huh," she scoffed. "I thought you're just his tutor, but apparently you had your claw into his family as well," she kept on going, totally didn't care that she was making a scene. I felt my blood boil. I curled up my fist and marched forward, but before I could open my mouth, I heard someone shouted from behind the crowd.
"What the hell was happening here?" I heard Jaebeom hyung's voice yelling. The crowd immediately scattered around, leaving only me, Jaebeom hyung and those involved in the altercation. I reached to Hyebin's side and patted Jaehyun's shoulder, who was close to sobbing now.
"I'm sorry, Jaehyun-ie, I know you're hungry and tired, but this lady over here stopped you from seeing me," I lowered myself so I could talk at eye-level with him. "Let's get you inside and wait for the food delivery. You can eat while you wait for your mom, how's that sound?" I saw him wipe his tears and nodded. I stood up straight again and talked to Hyebin, "Can you please bring him to my office and wait with him there? I've ordered some food so help yourself to some with Jaehyun while you're waiting for my sister. I'm sorry for the trouble," she nodded and I let them walk past me to go to my office before I turned back to face Subin noona.
"You two, my office, now," Jaebeom hyung was too angry to form a complete sentence. He looked really scary when he's angry that made Subin noona shut her mouth and followed him back to his office. I was very pissed when I remembered what has happened before, so I tried to calm myself down with each step. But I failed since I remembered how Subin noona managed to hurt not just Hyebin, but also Jaehyun as well.
