"Ah, Youngjae-ah," I heard someone calling my name and naturally I spun around only to see Subin noona. She wasn't my favorite person right now. I was pissed that I didn't wear my headphone so I could pretend that I didn't hear her.
"Oh, hi noona," I smiled half-heartedly. "Did you go home safe the other day?"
"Yeah, sorry.. I was too wasted that night. Did I embarrass myself?" she asked sheepishly.
"A little bit. You're loud," I answered honestly. I was contemplating whether or not to tell her that she's been throwing herself at me numerous times that night. "And noona, you understand that we're colleagues, don't you? So, let me know your address so next time I can send you home properly."
She blushed a little, "Did I throw myself at you?" Apparently she remembered, I thought. That should make it easier.
"Yeah noona, and I'm not comfortable with it," I was quite straightforward. "If you can't work with me without thinking otherwise, then maybe we should put a stop to everything." She was about to say something when my phone rang. "Hello?" I picked it up immediately without asking for her permission.
"Youngjae-ssi?" I heard Hyebin's voice but I didn't recognize the phone number. Oh wait, I realized that she blocked mine, so I couldn't recognize her phone number.
"Yes, this is me," I replied politely. She wanted us to be just business, so be it.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, but Jaehyun is left alone at school again. I tried to call his mother but it was busy. So, perhaps she texted you about Jaehyun?" she asked. I immediately checked my phone and there it was, her message, asking me to pick Jaehyun up which I missed completely.
"Sorry, yeah.. She did. I'd try to pick him as fast as I can," I looked at my watch. I still have a meeting after this, how could my sister picked the wrong time every time she asked me to pick up Jaehyun?
"Look, we're going to have a lesson later, aren't we? Then I can bring Jaehyun with me, so you don't need to pick him up at school," she offered.
"Wait, you can do that?" I beamed. That was a breather for my tight schedule.
"Yes, I can. After all both of us are heading toward the same place, so don't worry, I'll bring him with me to the company," she assured me.
"Okay then, thanks a lot. Just call my manager when you arrived," I told her and she ended the call. "Sorry," I turned to Subin noona again. "So, what were you saying?"
"Sorry Youngjae-ah, I've been acting inappropriately," her face got red. "I'd try to be professional next time."
"Don't try noona, make sure you do, or I'd review our contract again," I made sure that she got the message loud and clear.
I was just finished my meeting and was about to find my manager to find out the whereabouts of Hyebin and Jaehyun when Jaebeom hyung came to the meeting room with Jihoon behind him.
"Youngjae-ah, do you have schedule after this?" he asked.
"I have an English lesson for an hour then I'll finish for the day. What's wrong?" I frowned at the sight of both of them.
"Well, Elle noona sort of caught up with something so Jihoon is coming with me but I have to supervise the recordings. I've asked around but no one else can supervise Jihoon, can you at least let him wait in your office? He needs to do his homework as well, so he needs a table and a chair, and that's it," he explained.
"What day is today???" I scratched my head in exasperation. "Jaehyun is with Hyebin right now, and I'm about to find my manager to see their whereabouts. Oh well, one more kid won't make any difference," I shrugged at last. "Come on Jihoon, you're coming with me," I waved to him, telling him to follow me.
