Rhea Nahro's POV
—Teldryn and I woke up bright and early so we could gather our supplies and hit the road again. It was around noon when we arrived at the Earth Stone.
"Doesn't look like much to do with Miraak." Teldryn muttered, glancing around the large stone. There were multiple Redoran Guards and regular inhabitants of Solstheim working on the stone, hammering bolts and things to create a support for Azura knows what. It almost looks like a shrine.
I sighed before starting towards the shrine, Teldryn hesitantly following behind. As I approached the Earth Stone, I could hear people chanting and whatnot about the others being blinded, or 'helping' some cause. Hell, I don't know.
A strangely dressed man approached us, glancing to the Earth Stone every few seconds. He didn't speak quite yet, nor when Teldryn waved a hand in his face.
"Uhm...what exactly is happening here?" You asked, stepping up and snapping a finger in his face. He jumped, seemingly coming to.
"You there... You don't seem to be in quite the same state as the others here. Very interesting. May I ask what it is you're doing here?" The man asked. Teldryn and I glanced to each other before he answered.
"We're looking for Miraak." Teldryn hummed. "Any clues?"
The man blinked. "Miraak... Miraak... It sounds familiar, and yet I can't quite place... Oh. Wait, I recall. But that makes very little sense. Miraak's been dead for thousands of years." He replied, brows furrowing. I groaned.
"What the hells that supposed to mean? The guys trying to kill me." I snapped, irritated with the lack of knowledge on Miraak and the strange happenings. Teldryn seemed confused as well.
"I'm not sure, but it is fascinating, isn't it? Perhaps it has some relation to what's going on here. Quite unexpected. I'm afraid I can't give you any answers. But there are ruins of an ancient temple of Miraak's toward the center of the island. If I were you, I'd look there." The man hummed, walking off before Teldryn or I could reply.
I snatched my hood off and ran a hand through my hair in frustration. "First a fucking stone, then a goddamn temple? Are you fucking serious? I swear to Azura that when I find Miraak i'm gonna shove my fucking warhammer up his ass." I growled. Teldryn simply nodded, not really expecting the outburst.
Oh yeah. I was feeling the dragon blood now. It's times like these when being the Dragonborn isn't so terrible. Y'know, being able to disintegrate people with the whole 'Fus Ro Dah' thing comes in handy sometimes.
But, sadly, me getting pissed off either ends in punching something or crying. And in this case, it was a lovely looking metal beam near the shrine.
I gripped my hair, inhaling sharply. I swung at the nearest thing i saw, hearing a sickening crunch as soon as i did. Though, of course, i didn't care. I simply stormed off in the direction of Miraaks stupid fucking temple.
Teldryn was frozen in shock until he rushed to keep up with me. "Ah- Rhea, i believe you may want to check your hand-" He said, speed-walking beside me. I was already on the brink of tears as i flexed my knuckles, feeling liquid flowing through my fingers.
I said nothing, causing Teldryn to step in front of me, causing me to run straight into his chest. He sighed, gripping my shoulders firmly, forcing me to look at him. He was maybe an inch taller than I was, so i just stared straight forward, jaw set tight. (lmao y'all bitches like short oc no not today. im tall)
"Rhea. You are overreacting. Calm the fuck down and we can go to the temple." Teldryn said firmly. I exhaled sharply.
"How am I overreacting when the guy that wants me dead is supposedly also fucking dead? And none of these fucking people know how to get to him." I seethed through my teeth. Teldryn scoffed.
