No one's POV.

Rhea and Teldryn made their way to the Wind Stone early in the morning, just west of Skaal Village. The dunmer had his helmet on yet again, while the dragonborn had her cowl up. It was still quite cold, but with a few more layers, the duo were completely fine.

"Tell me, serjo, why are we going here again?" Teldryn asked for the umpteenth time. He just generally didn't understand why they needed to cleanse some stones - which - wasn't a terrible question.

Rhea sighed. "Storn said that cleansing these stones would weaken Miraak, so that's what we've got to do." She huffed, swinging her blade whilst deep in thought.

Teldryn eyed her. "You have something on your mind." He said knowingly, walking a bit closer. The girl shrugged.

"I'll tell you soon, Tel."

"And everything you've kept hidden from me?"

"Don't test your luck."

Once the two arrived at the Wind Stone, Teldryn grimaced. "They're all doing that chanting thing again. Is this normal?" He glanced around, hand on the hilt of his sword. It was tense.

"I'm not exactly from here, sweetheart." Rhea muttered in a mocking tone, walking up towards the large stone. She ignored the people in front of her and stared at the statue.

The dragonborn felt the words bubbling in her soul. Bend Will. It would cleanse the stone. How did she know? She didn't. Whatsoever. But it felt right.

"Gol, hah dov-!"

With that, the statue blazed with a golden light. The workers stopped abruptly, running away from the stone to watch. Teldryn drew his blade.

The water turned to black, bubbling with a twinge of murky green. The bubbles increased in size until it created a dark figure. With a roar, the dark sludge vanished, revealing one of the same creatures Rhea had seen in Apocrypha.

A lurker.

She immediately drew her bow, knocking an ebony arrow and letting it soar into the creature's chest. Teldryn ran forward after conjuring a flame atronach. "What in the name of Azura is that bloody thing-?" He shouted over the screams and howls.

"A lurker. I saw one when i got dragged in that goddamned book." Rhea answered, knocking another arrow.

Teldryn would've charged a lot more gold for this.

The dragonborn kicked off her boots. The fight wasn't terribly hard, but the new creature had put quite the burning memory into the civilian's heads.

Teldryn sat on the edge of the shared bed quietly, watching Rhea. His helmet sat on the nightstand along with some of his armor.

It was an uncomfortable silence.

Rhea cleared her throat, throwing off her hood and coming to sit by the spellsword.
