Once Upon a Swap

Today it was another usual day at the market as the gang got ready to sell Eda's human collectables. King was jumping high trying to catch a flag that hung above him, but he tripped over and fell off the table.

"Stupid Flag!" He yelled.

"It's been a little slow around here." Luz said.

"No kidding." Eva said as she tuned her lute while plucking at the strings checking if she's got the right pitch.

"Don't worry I got just the thing to attract customers and who doesn't like their names in lights." Luz said as she tapped the glyphs and they glowed bright while also illuminating Eda's face on the side.

"I don't know...don't you think it's a little bright." Eva said she shielded her eyes.

"Is it too subtle?" Luz asked.

"More like too much." Eva said.

"More like ugly." Basha said as she and her cronies stood in front of the stall.

"Hi Basha. Hexidians. See anything you like?" Luz asked.

"Ew! No, I'm just here to take an ironic Penstagram next to your weird flashing trash sign." She said, and Eva used the hood of her cape to hide her face as she took the picture, while Luz made an odd face just as the photo clicked.

"That's not funny, Boscha." Luz said.

"What are you gonna do, spit your human Venom on me?" Boscha mocked.

"You have venom?! Quick Luz Start melting faces!" King yelled.

"She can't spit venom King. Even if she could, people like Boscha aren't worth it." Eva said ignoring the bullies.

"Yeah King, you wouldn't understand how to handle teens like her." Luz said as she knelt towards King.

"No, I'll show you what to do." King said as he grabbed her collar and then he jumped on the table.

"You will tremble before me!" King yelled.

"Oh, he's so cute!" Boscha gushed and grabbed King for a selfie of which he struggled, but turned out great.

"How much? I have to own him." Boshca said but King managed to get out of her grasp.

"You couldn't afford me sister." King said sassily.

"Oh~." They all cooed.

"That is the incorrect reaction!" King yelled.

"I smell an easy mark." Eda said, poking her nose out from behind the curtains and she jumped out. "Hey kid! Can I offer you the latest fashions from...the human realm?" Eda asked as she drew a spell that got her into old fashioned wear of many different clothing.

"Yeah, no." Boshca smirked while her cronies laughed as they walked away.

"Welp...I hate her." Eda said as she turned back into her own clothes.

"Yep, teens can be sour, but I'm a little sweetie. Look what I made you." Luz said pointing up to the sign.

"Luz!" Eda gasped as she got on the table to remove the board.

"Did I spell something wrong? Or did I spell something right?" Luz said proudly.

"Stop that. And why didn't you stop her?" Eda asked.

"I wanted to see what she was doing." Eva shrugged.

"You may be forgetting something Luz, I'm kinda...on the run! Remember. Every guard in town would be at my doorstep if I had my name in lights." Eda said.
