Chapter 2: Recruitment

"So who first?" Gold asked

"I don't know," I said, "either positive, feral, or dark."

"Well..What about Rainbow? She seems easily persuaded so it shouldn't be to hard."

"Fine by me."

So we headed down the hallways till we came to a pink pastel door. I knocked and waited. A few minutes later, a man in a pink suit opened it.

"Hello there!" He said cheerfully. "What can I do for you?"

"I'm agent Funnehcake and this is my partner, agent Gold. And we'd love to talk to agent Rainbow." I explained.

"Please?" Gold added.

"Well come on in!" The man said smiling. "Rainbow is in the back."

We walked inside and immediately smelled batter. Cake batter to be specific. I tried to ignore it. Soon a pink haired girl covered in flour came running from the back room.

"Sorry! I was baking." She said.

She was pretty short, had pink hair and eyes, and wearing a cake hat.

"Is that hat real?" I asked trying not to take a bite.

"I wish." She said.

"Oh where are our manners," I said, "I'm agent Funneh and this is agent Gold."

Gold gave a small wave.

"Pleased to meet you agents. I'm agent Rainbow!" She said smiling.

"Well agent Rainbow," Gold said, "we have a job for you."

"What's up?"

"We want your help in capturing the...Masked murderer."

Rainbow stepped back. "Your joking right?"

"Frayed not. Our commissioner said you'd be able to help us."

"Well I'd love too but...I'm only an average agent."

"So are we." I said.

"No I'm...below average...I'm not good at identifying traps and whatnot."

"Well there's gonna be more than just us. You won't be alone." I reassured her.

"Well..in that case....I'm in." Rainbow said smiling

I handed her one of the cards. "Go here at the time it says."

Rainbow smiled and headed to the back. I smiled to myself. Maybe having a team won't be so bad.

Me made our way out of the pastel department.

"Who's next?" I asked exited.

"Since when are you excited?" Gold asked.

"Since when I was now who's next?"

"Let's go get Draconite."

So we headed downstairs towards the dragon department. The people of that department were sneaky and tricksters. They weren't easy to trust but they were great spies. Soon we reached the entrance.

"Welp...knock Gold."

"Why me?" She asked.

"Cause I knocked last time."

Gold cautiously knocked on the door. Soon after a guy peeked his head out.

"What do you want?" He said.
