Chapter 17: Honesty...

^That song is quite essential to the chapter. You can probably guess why.

I nodded and we stepped away from everyone.

"Okay, what's up?" I asked.

Lunar took a breath, her face guilty.

"I'm...a traitor." She said.

My eyes went wide. "What?"

"I've been working with the Masked Murderer while in the agency for...a year now. I don't anymore. I told George I wasn't working with the team anymore...After I told them we were going to the store... Today."

"Lunar you...ever since we met you? Do they know about our plan? Is that why no one ever caught him." I asked.

"Yes, yes, and yes."

I was furious. First Karl, now Lunar. Lunar of all people.

"People were right to doubt you. You're a traitor. I can't believe you! We gave you the chance to prove yourself and you blew it."

"I know. I felt so guilty because you guys were so nice and... you didnt deserve to have this happen so, I told you." She sighed. "All I ask is that you please please please don't tell the others."

I didnt know how to respond. Lunar was pouring her heart out to me. But what about the team?

"Lunar." I sighed. "As your friend, I'm glad you trust me like this. As an agent, I'm gonna have to turn you in and I'm telling the rest of the Krew."

Lunar gulped as we walked back to the rest of the team. They were still picking weapons. Gold was looking at a lipstick pocket knife (even though she has like 40), Rainbow was looking at small things that could fit under her hat, and Draco was looking at food looking weapons.

"Guys." I said. "We've gotta talk. You picked something?"

They all nodded and we stepped outside the room. Once outside, I explained what Lunar did. They all looked just as shocked as I was.

"Lunar? Is this true?" Rainbow asked with sadness in her eyes.

The purpled haired traitor sighed. "Very true. Funneh's about turn me in."

"Well she should." Gold hissed. "You betrayed us. Thanks to you, our plan might go south. That elixir you made, that's not amnesia is tranquil is it? Or were you gonna use it on us?"

"I was gonna give it to you." Lunar said rolling her eyes. "It's at Rainbow's."

We brought Lunar to the chief and told him everything. Lunar was immediately fired.

"Obviously, we're handing you to the police as well." Mr.Montgomery said. "Criminals shouldn't be roaming the streets and neither should you."

"That's quite fair." Lunar said grinning. "Thanks for all the info and opportunity. Unfortunately, you have no real reason to arrest me. All I did was give info to criminals. You can't arrest me for that. It's not a law."

Montgomery was beaten there. Lunar still had every trace of her being with the CIA erased except her word. Who'd believe her anyway?

"We have to go get ready for tonight's mission." I said to the agents taking Lunar away. "We trust you'll make sure she finds no way back here."

The agent nodded as the remainder of Krew left the building. We all had our new gadgets and outfits.

"So I'm still a party goer." I said revising the plan. "Everything can still work. Communication will just be extremely important on my end. After all, I'll be alone."

"Or you could unsuspiciously stand by us." Betty suggested. "Nobody will suspect it if you follow us. Especially since Gold is supposed to be famous."

Betty had a point there.

"Okay. We'll meet at the mansion at seven." I ordered. "That should give us enough time to scan the area."

The three nodded. Four or Five members who cares? One way or another, we're stopping the Masked Murderer.
