Chapter 14: Everywhere we go

I woke up the next morning to a text from Rainbow. I spent all night researching this party. The food included a lot of sea food and we were supposed to dress formally.

R: Finished Gold's dress and shortened yours.
*Rainbow sent two attachments*
R: Was pretty ez I didn't get to start golds until then
F: Great job 👍
R: You can keep the long dress too I'll make gold's og dress for the retirement party once we take down the villains 😌

I opened the attachments and looked at the dresses.

I guessed that the blue one was mine and the gold one was...well Gold's.

F: 😮Pretty
R: I know 😌
R: I'm gonna drop by later to give them to you.
R: Let's go shopping for masquerade masks today! 😁
F: Bring the idea to the group chat

I liked the idea of all of us going shopping. We deserve the recreation after all we've been doing this week. So I opened the group chat for the Krew. (Massive excuse just to right more chatting)

R: We should all go shopping for masquerade masks today!
G: Great idea 😁👍
L: U sure? What if we run into the villains?
D: Dont ingae
F: *Engage Draco
D: Engage ur face
L: So mature 🙄😑
G: Listen. Let's all meet up at the Sheldon mall. They have a great party store there I'm sure we'll find some masquerade masks
F: Sounds great! How's 1:00pm for u guys?
D: 👍
R: Perfect 😁
L: Sure 👍

I glanced at the time. 8:07 in the morning. A few hours to get ready and meet up with everyone. I got out of bed and made my way downstairs to get something to eat. Gold was taking a selfie with her yogurt and granola.

"Hashtag, good morning Funneh!" She smiled.

"Hashtag, overrated." I said rolling my eyes.

Gold rolled hers back to me and took another bite of her breakfast.

"What you gonna eat?" She asked.

"Maybe a smoothie. Not that one I made a month ago."

"You make smoothies and never finish them."

"I will this time. I promise."

I blended up some strawberries, and bananas and made a small smoothie.

"What are you gonna wear?" I asked Gold.

"Probably something cute yet causal." Gold shrugged. "You?"

"Hoodie, jeans, nothing special."

"You need to put more thought in your clothes."

"Fine. What do you suggest."

I just realized how much of a mistake I just made. Next thing I knew, Gold was choosing serval outfits for me to try. Eventually, I found something I liked. I picked out a baby blue blouse with a denim jacket, pre-distressed jeans, and baby blue slip on shoes to match my T-shirt.

"Okay I'll admit," I sighed, "it's not bad. Looks kinda what I was gonna choose though."

Gold rolled her eyes. "I'm gonna ignore that and go change. Then, we can relax for a while before going to meet up with the others."

Gold left my room which gave me time to text our friends and relax a little.

A few hours later, we left the house to meet up with Rainbow, Lunar, and Draco. It was 12:50 when we left and the mall was only a few minutes away. By the time we got there, it was 1:15. All our friends were sitting on a bench outside the mall.
