(A/N: Short chapter and kinda filler. Sorry I didn't update yesterday)
The next morning, I woke up to something burning. I quickly sat up and dashed to the dining room. There was the rest of the team at the table smiling nervously and whispering.
"What's going on?" Lunar whispered.
"I smell something burning." Draco whispered nervously.
"Is she that bad at cooking?" Rainbow whispered to me.
"Yeah." I sighed before taking a trip to the kitchen.
There was Gold. Making what are supposed to be pancakes. They looked like record cd's with how dark they were though.
"Uhh Gold?" I said.
Gold turned and smiled. "Oh! Morning Funneh! I was making breakfast!"
"Yeah that's the problem. How'd you burn everything? The kitchen is mess. And you got pancake goop on the ceiling."
"Oh well that's just a few failed batches. And the food's just crispy."
"Gold, I appreciate the effort but...maybe let me cook breakfast? You clean up the kitchen."
"Oh okay."
So I got started on a new batch of pancakes while Gold cleaned up. We decided we'd get the step ladder for the ceiling later. Soon breakfast was ready.
"This is really good Funneh." Draco said downing his food.
"Yeah." Rainbow and Lunar agreed.
"Thanks." I said.
"I wish you guys could've tasted my cooking." Gold sighed.
"Yeah...oh well next time." I said patting Gold on the back.
My fake sympathy was enough for Gold to cheer up. She smiled and started eating. Good.
"Okay guys." Rainbow said finishing up. "We need a plan for how we're gonna take this Dream guy down."
"Can't we worry about work later?" Draco whined.
"No. We can't." I said agreeing with Rainbow. "This guy is unstoppable. It's a challenge to even land a finger on him. The fact we're even alive after facing him is surprising. We can't waste time."
"I told commissioner about what happened." Gold said. "We're awaiting further instructions."
"We can't wait." I said. "Tell commissioner we need a lead of any kind."
"On it."
While Gold started tapping away at her phone, we devised a plan.
