It had been a few days since my dad's meeting, it went how I thought it would towards the end...

"Daddy gon getchu," I shook my head knowing this wouldn't look good.

I watched Mehki sitting there with a nonchalant look on his face.

I thought he would be lucky to make it out of this.

You never want the enemy to see you doing bad. Whether Mehki's reasons were justified or impulsive, he could've took him to another room.

Or a different setting completely.

"Somebody get this shit cleaned up," Mehki said to nobody in particular going towards the back of the house where the kitchen was.

"He not talking to me," One of the men I'd seen earlier counting money spoke.

I shrugged lightly, feeling around my jacket's pockets for the keys to the car or at least my phone.

Eventually some people came and got the blood up, pouring bleach on the floor once the body was removed.

Mehki came back with a drink in his hand.

I guess he thought because most of everyone had left that now would've been a good time to speak to me.

"Why you sit next to that nigga," He said turning his face up, sitting down in his previous seat.

I looked up at him briefly before looking back down at my phone. I wasn't interested in this conversation at all, especially if that was how it started.

Sounded like he wanted an argument, for what I wouldn't know.

"So you dont-," he was cut off by my dad and Marquis coming down the stairs.

My dad quickly looked over to the people scrubbing the floor before looking back to Marquis, the neutral party, dapping him up and making sure he got out the door.

He stood there a few seconds after he closed the door just looking.

"Do I need to appoint you a fucking babysitter," He might as well have yelled.

"What this is, nigga number four? You not finna keep dropping my workers like fucking flies because you feel like it. You don't fucking think."

"You knew I was having a meeting, I tell you how this shit posed ta go. You act accordingly, none of this extra shit. I be three seconds from doing yo head in," My dad continued to rant frustratedly going back into his office.

It had been a few weeks since that had happened and because of how it went my dad made me the "babysitter" of Mehki.

We were supposed to be headed to the trap now to check on stuff since the money missing incident had happened recently and was still fresh.

As I sat on the couch waiting for Mehki to pick me up I checked my phone seeing it was an hour after our agreed time.

I hate being late, I hate for things to be sloppy, it's bad for business.

I picked up my phone going to my call log, deciding to call my father and ask him what I should be doing.
