Corbin's POV
I knealt in front of Addaline's chair, my ear to her stomach. Two months had passed since Addaline and I had gotten engaged, and I was able to keep her from getting married until after the babies were born. She was now twenty one weeks pregnant; or five months. We had gone to the doctor and had tried to hold out on knowing the gender, but it didn't work out that way. We had let my mother see and of course, she told us. Oh, and I had found out that my mother and Addaline had been keeping a secret from me: Addaline was pregnant with twins.
We were having two little girls, and Addaline and I had decided to name them Rowen and Maddaline. Well, honestly, Addaline had chosen the names, but I really didn't feel like arguing with her, so I had just went along with it, even though I absolutly hate those names.
"Why can't I feel them kick?" I whined, frowning as I sat back, my hand still on Addaline's growing stomach.
Addaline smiled and kissed me, giggling a little. "They stop moving when anyone but me touches my tummy." Addaline smiled down at her stomach. "I think they're going to be momma's girls."
I smiled. "I guess so." Heath sat watching us. He had been spending a lot of time with us since Niamh had been sitting for days at a time at the hospital. Sometimes her boyfriend would pick him up, but I usually had to take him to visit Niamh in the hospital. I sighed, and picked him up. It was almost his first birthday, I think it was next month, and my mother was planning a birthday party for him.
Surprisingly, my mother has been very involved with all of my children. She even made the guest room into a nursery for all of them to share. It was brown with blue and pink polka dots on the walls. There were white picture frames and shelves with little stuffed animals. The chair and dresser were also white and the drawers were divided evenly between clothes for the girls and clothes for Heath. There were three cribs, two pink and one blue, and the curtains were white, blue, and pink striped.
"I'm so excited for them!" I smiled.
"I am too." It wasn't a complete lie. I was excited for it, and, if they acted anything like Heath, I wasn't going to have any problem with sleep or me time or anything, but I was also terrified. The doctor said that twin births were really dangerous and that there was a chance neither of them would survive, or that one or both of them could end up with physical or mental disabilities. I was terrified for them.
I kissed Addaline's stomach, and stood up with Heath in my arms. "Let's go visit Mommy Heath." He shook his head. "No," I asked, raising my eye brow at him. He shook his head again. "But don't we want to show Mommy how well you walk?" He shook his head again, and I frowned. "Heath, Mommy will be very upset if you don't go visit her." He chewed his hand and shook his head.
"He doesn't want to go," Addaline said. "You shouldn't make him."
Scowling, I set Heath on the ground and watched him stand up and waddle to the toy box in the corner. "It's been a week since he last saw his mother. He should go see her. I'm sure she misses him."
Addaline held her hand out to me and I sat down in the chair near her. I kissed her fingers, and she smiled. "Corbin, maybe we should just keep Heath."
"Keep Heath? What do you mean," I asked, my brows furrowed.
"Well, maybe we should try and get custody for Heath."
I stood up. 'What? You mean take Heath from Niamh?" I shook my head. "No. I couldn't do that to her. Her mother is just now getting better. She should be going home tomorrow. I can't take Heath from her."
Addaline frowned. "I honestly don't think Niamh would mind. She hasn't even asked about him." Addaline stood up. "Just think about it." She put her hand down and Heath took it, following her down the hallway.

Niamh's POV
My mother sat eating a piece of the hospital cake, and Dean sat in his hospital bed too. He had woken up a couple weeks ago, and had been surprised to find me sitting in between them. He didn't talk. Natasha said he was too traumatized, but I talked to him when my mother was asleep, and she and I would both talk to him when he was awake. He was starting to trust us, and I almost considered him our friend. I even went to Chemo with him a couple of times; it comforted him to see me standing there waiting for him.
"Where's Heath," my mother asked through a mouthful of cake.
"He's with Corbin and Addaline."
My mother frowned. "Why doesn't he visit us very often?"
I shrugged. "He wouldn't like sitting here with us."
Mom scoffed. "I beg to differ."
A knocking at the door made us look. Caleb stood there. "Knock knock."
My mother smiled at him. "Come on in dear."
He walked in. "Good morning Ms. Harvey, Dean, Niamh." He nodded to each of us. "I heard you were getting out of the hospital today."
My mother's smile brightened. "And you came to escort us home. What a gentleman." I scoffed, and my mother shot me a glare.
Caleb has been stopping by and checking up on my mother ever since he agreed to be my helper on the Fischer Murder Case. I even called Rosalie and she was absolutly fine with it. She even allowed me more time due to the fact that my mother had gotten injured.
Natasha walked in, and smiled at Dean. "Hey buddy." A man and a woman stood behind her. "Dean, this is Mr. and Mrs. Daniels. They are looking to adopt you after you get out of the hospital."
I watched as Dean began to cry, and, when they walked up to him, scream. Dean was afraid of most people, and it had taken him a while to get used to me. I had been patient with him. Plus, I had been the first person he saw after he had woken up. I was the only person, besides Natasha, who was able to touch him. I felt really bad for him. At this rate, he was never going to get adopted.
After Natasha and the couple left, Jeremy walked in. He glared at Caleb, like he always did, and smiled at my mother and I. "I came to bring you two home. It's all cleaned up, everything's replaced, and it looks better than it did before you go hurt."
My mother glared at him, her eyes bright with anger. Caleb stepped in before my mother could say anything. "What he means is, the valuables that we could replace were replaced, but we understand that some things just won't feel like they used to. And some things just can't be emotionally replaced, even if they are physically." He shot my mother his lopsided, gorgeous smile and I watched her visably relax, a small smile on her face.
Jeremy and Caleb glared at each other and I stood up, wrapping my arms around Jeremy's waist. "Thank you, Jeremy," I murmured, kissing him. "It means a lot that you came to pick us up, and we would be happy to go with you."
He smiled down at me. "I'll get the car ready." He sent a smirk to Caleb, and then left us alone.
"Why are you even with that guy," Caleb asked.
I glared at him, my arms crossed over my chest. "Why do you care?"
Caleb shrugged and my mother piped up. "I hate him Niamh. Why don't you get rid of him?"
I glared at her. "He treats me right mom. He fixed our house, he brings my son to see me, and he's been with me all through out this mess with our house getting ransacked. He's not a bad guy, and he really loves me."
Caleb scoffed and my mother shook her head. I rolled my eyes, scowling. "Whatever, come on mom." I walked to Dean, taking his little hand in mine. "I'll be by tomorrow to see you, and I'll bring Heath okay?" Dean's eyes teared up and I sat on his bed with him. "I promise I'll come early and visit you, before you go to the foster home, okay?" He nodded, tears falling down his cheeks, but he didn't make a sound. I kissed his forehead, and walked out of the room with my mother following me. I turned back to Caleb.
"Go on without me," he said. "I'll sit and keep him company." Caleb pulled up a chair, and sat against the far wall from Dean, so he didn't scare him. I turned away from him and helped my mother to the car. We sat down and started to drive home.
My mind was too occupied with Dean, though, to pay attention to anything my mother and Jeremy were saying. That poor boy is going to have a panic attack when they take him to his new foster home. I can't let him be a foster child. I just can't.
