CH 19: I Love You.

Your place was... cute.

Belphegor stood at the bookshelf you had in your living room, looking over some of the stuff you had. There were a lot of Devildom books. You had put some of your old work binders from RAD here too. He didn't realize you had even saved them.

The middle shelf only had one book on it, along with a few picture frames. Some of the smaller knick knacks you had in your old room were here as well.

Looking closer at the picture frames, Belphegor realized that they were all pictures from the exchange program. And this book... wasn't really an actual book. It was a photo album.

Knowing you wouldn't be upset with him looking, he carefully pulled the photo album from the shelf and opened it up. There were tons of pictures from your stay. There was one of everyone at the ball, a bunch of pictures from the concert, some of everyone studying for exams. Each one made him smile a little bit bigger than the last.

It felt nice to look back on old memories and feel happy rather than feel sad and alone. He knew that was just because they were visiting you, but he was thankful all the same.

For some reason, Lucifer insisted on visiting you before dealing with Mammon's issues. Mammon was the whole reason they came up here in the first place. Even though it was weird, he wasn't gonna start complaining about it any time soon.

You were still fast asleep. It was still fairly early in the morning, but you'd probably wake up soon anyways. Lucifer had left earlier, taking Mammon to sort out the rest of the money situation.

That left Belphegor awake and alone for the time being. It would probably just be best to let you sleep but... he was feeling a little lonely.

There were only so many things he could busy himself with while you were asleep. They wouldn't be visiting forever, so he felt like he should get what time in with you he could. Surely you wouldn't mind if he woke you up just a little early.

Belphegor snuck down the short hallway, making a beeline for your room. As quietly as he could, he pushed open the door and let himself in.

Last night he almost snuck into your room to sleep in your bed with you. It had been laughably easy for him to fall asleep in your apartment though, so he ended up falling asleep on the couch before he truly even got the chance.

Your room was just as nice as the rest of your apartment. You looked so cute while you were sleeping too. There were two other things in your bed that caught his attention though.

Wrapped in your arms was the stuffed animal he had won for you in that arcade, and the pillow you were using had a cow print pillow case on it. Looking at you like this made him smile like a total idiot. Did you really go out and buy a cow print pillow case to match his own pillow?

Although Belphegor knew well enough that you had thought of him often after you left, seeing these kinds of things really solidified that for him. Part of him felt bad but... he enjoyed the thought of you missing him. It made the time you spent together now better for both of you.

Deciding that he had done enough staring, Belphegor pulled your bedroom door shut and made his way over to the side of your bed.

The feeling of your mattress dipping woke you up, and you didn't even have to open your eyes to know who it was.

"Good morning Belphie," you yawned, giving your legs a much needed stretch. "Good morning," Belphegor responded happily.

"Your bed's pretty comfy," he remarked with a yawn. "You're just saying that cause I'm in it," you yawned back. "Anyways, I didn't expect you all to be up before me. I feel kind of bad for being the last one to wake up..."
