CH 12: The Music Festival

The day of the Devildom's music festival arrived before you knew it. As promised, Lucifer gave everyone their tickets at breakfast this morning. The festival itself was still a few hours out. It was only lunch time, after all.

Since Diavolo was the one that helped organize the event, Lucifer was quick to offer help in setting everything up. Lucifer, Satan, Beelzebub, and Belphegor all left shortly after breakfast to help Diavolo and Barbatos with the finishing touches.

That left you with Mammon, Leviathan, and Asmodeus for most of the day. Asmodeus was spending all of his time getting ready, and Leviathan was busy playing games as usual.

Mammon was the only one that wasn't really busy at all, so he invited you to hang out before you left for the music festival. The two of you sat on opposite couches in his room while some show played on the projector as background noise.

"I think it's stupid that Lucifer didn't give me my ticket this mornin' at breakfast..." Mammon pouted as he scrolled through his phone. "There are people sellin' those tickets for two or three times what they bought em for!"

"See! You're just proving him right. You were gonna sell it if he gave it to you!" You pointed out, shoving another chip into your mouth. "Just cause I was thinkin' about it doesn't mean I woulda!" Mammon replied, acting innocent.

Given that Mammon was quite literally the avatar of greed, you couldn't help but laugh. "You sir, are so full of shit."

"I am not!" Mammon stood up with a huff, and quickly changed the topic. "Ya know what, I bet they'd actually let us in early since Lucifer's already there. Then we could get dibs on all the best spots!"

"You think they would? I guess since Diavolo's kind of in charge of everything, it probably wouldn't be too hard to get in," you replied thoughtfully.

"I think they would! Besides, you're gonna wanna get there as early as ya can to be with Belphie, right?" Mammon asked, and you nearly choked on the chips you were eating.

"You ain't gotta say anything, I already know you two are close. I've been hearin' your phone gettin' texts like crazy the whole time you've been here!"

"I mean, he is my best friend," you pointed out. "Mmhm, sure, sure," Mammon grinned. "Anyways, let's go round up the others and try to get there a little early! Come on!"

Mammon dragged you along as he visited Levi and Asmo to get them going. Leviathan finished up the last level of the game he was playing and accompanied you and Mammon to get Asmodeus.

Asmo was a little irritated that he didn't have as much time to pick out his outfit as he would have liked. You thought it was pretty funny because you knew he had shown you pictures of what he wanted to wear every morning at breakfast for the last week and a half.

Even with his complaining, he got dressed and met you, Mammon, and Leviathan at the front door.

"Finally!" Leviathan grumbled. "You two should have come to get me after getting Asmo. I could have started the next section of my game..."

"I—" Asmo scoffed, crossing his arms. "You wouldn't understand! Besides, you would have been just as bad with leaving on time because you've been complaining about being stuck on that level for—"
