The weather was finally back to normal, it had been a few weeks and you still never found out who the person who saved your life was. It was January now, the 15th. You were in your house by the fireplace again, this time holding a cup of tea. You were looking at the fire a bit agitated. Why couldn't they have at least send you a message? You were famous at The Last Drop for working so well so it would have been easy to send a letter.
You let it go, not wanting to stress yourself out. You had a few weeks off still from work, it made you happy knowing you wouldn't be working until midnight for awhile now.
You sighed and laid back, you let your legs stretch forward towards the fireplace. The warmth felt nice, like the relief of taking serotonin. You got a knock at the door which made you sit up slowly. No one knew where you lived unless it was your brother or a very close co-worker. You got up off of your cheap couch and walked towards the door. You don't have a peephole which made things a bit more nerve racking. You opened the door slowly. You had never expected THIS person to be here. Out of everyone in the world that could have showed up SHE did?
I mean, you were a slight fan of her amazing poker skills and all but she could easily kill someone and get away with it. "Sevika? What are you doing here?"
"Just here to check up on the best waitress there is" she said pulling out a cigar. "Ahahaha... get to the real point?" She pulled the cigar out of her mouth blowing a cloud of smoke just slightly above me. "I'm here to deliver you a letter, well, when I say letter I mean some sort of, box."
She reached behind her cloak and grabbed something. It was a small mechanical box with childish drawings on it.
"Uhm, thanks..? This won't kill me right?"
Sevika chuckles as she pulls her cigar out of her mouth again. "Sure hope not" that made you get nervous. 'Sure hope not'??? Very reassuring. You closed the door slowly as she turned to leave, taking the cigar and throwing it to the ground, stepping on it.
You fully shut the door making sure to lock it, you'd rather not have her for some reason come back and kill you. Yeah you were a pretty fearful person even if you had high reputation. You sat back down on the couch setting the mechanical box next to your tea. You look at the box for a bit, what was this supposed to be? You continued to examine the box. That's when you realized a piece of metal that was slightly separate from the rest.
You grabbed the piece and pulled it down, inside was some sort of eight ball. You let it roll out, then grabbing it and looking at it. There was writing on it, reading, "Meet me at the top of Last Drop, 10pm tonight". You were a bit confused. '10 pm? That late?'
You looked at the ball a bit closer then realizing a button. You pressed it out of curious and then... POOF. Your face was covered in paint and glitter. Whoever wanted you to have this really had it coming. You were very, very annoyed.

After you cleaned off your face and everything else that had been doused in the colorful substance you put out your fire. You checked the clock, you had time to get some food and then get clothes on. You had places to be, and someone to see. Whoever this, someone, was.
