"how do you even fall off a game chair?" saya wondered, slurping from her milk pack.

you stared blankly at the tree on the other side of the courtyard. "i just jerked. you would have, too."

your friend snorted. but her enthusiasm about the fact that you had fallen off suna's game chair soon returned.

"can you tell me again how you ended up in his game chair? in his room..." if it were possible, her pupils would've been replaced by actual hearts right now. her hands fiddled nervously, showing her excitement.

you gave her an annoyed look. "i told you seven times already."

saya shook her head as if you were lying. "i don't care, duh. tell me again." her voice was whiny like a child's, begging for a goodnight story.

"you're getting on my nerves, to be honest. he just asked me to come over to play some stupid game and now i have my back bruised."

she let out a dreamy sigh, her gaze getting lost in the sunny sky. "you're acting like you're in love with him or something..." you grinned.

her elbow poked your side and you winced. "no, i'm not! i'm just jealous that you've caught such a prince charming" she admits.

the frown on your face seemed to stay there forever. "have you listened to me? what of all the things i've just told you makes him prince charming? he even forced me to sing when i was at his place for the first ti-"

you stopped yourself but it was already too late. saya turned to you so rapidly that you almost fell back in surprise.

"what was that? sing? at his place the first time?" her eyes were piercing you, squinting.
you looked at her with a indifferent expression, hoping to shrug it off. "you're really scary sometimes."

she waved her hands to shake off your irrelevant comment. "let's rewind a little! what did you just say?"

you shook your head. "i'm not saying anything. must've been the wind."

you could almost hear saya's disbelief. "y/n, i'm going to kill you, i swear..."
without looking at her, you said: "you heard me well enough. i'm not repeating it for your stupid ass."

"tell me everything."

face straight forward, you glanced at her from the side to find your best friend with an expression that gave you shivers. you would be dead by tomorrow if you wouldn't talk.

"so thats basically it" you finished. in the back of your head you regretted wasting your whole break on updating saya, who was, most certainly, not going to let go of it anytime soon.

her face showed every emotion she was going through.

shock when suna gave you his number.
happiness when he texted you.
awe when he asked you over.
anger when he laughed at you bruising your back.

she was a whole mood board. now she sat next to you, her gaze as lost as yours earlier, caught in day dreams.

"magnificent" saya said. a wrinkle deepened between your brows. "what?"

she looked at you again, resting her chin on her palm. her feet were bobbing up and down the edge of the step.

"he's quite a catch." you rolled your eyes. unbelievable that she still refused to see what an ass suna was.

"if you say so" you groaned, leaning back on your forearms. there was nothing else to convince her of your point of view.

realization kicked in. you moistened your lips before speaking.
