Third p.o.v
(also there will be an announcement at the end<3)

Mirabel and Bruno sat there after finishing their fruit, they talked for awhile, unaware of the grief of their family. Then again, when did their family ever ask about their feelings? They were just expected to be silent and stand aside. Bruno suggested they start moving, their family would still be searching. Bruno helped up his niece and they started walking; they didn't know where they were walking, they just knew they couldn't stay near the encanto anymore.

They only walked for maybe, twenty minutes? Before Bruno noticed how his niece was walking with a slight limp "Are you hurt? You're limping." Mirabel looked at her tío, she nodded and reassured her tío Bruno that she was okay. Bruno nodded back and they continued following the river until they came upon the mountains.

The two looked at each other and groaned; listen, while they were both energized, they knew that they couldn't walk up a mountain. Of course they were going to do it anyways because they had no choice, it's either option A: climb the mountain and get it over with, or B: go through the cold river and be cold until their clothes dry.

They started their climb, of course, they were still joking and chatting about issues they had; what better way to let every problem out then joke, right? Mirabel cracked a joke "Camilo said seven foot, and you're the same height as me!" they both chuckled "I wish I was seven foot!" Bruno retorted back, it's been awhile since he joked with other people.

About thirty minutes into their walk they decided to rest, as they were both extremely tired, and out of breath. They sat down on the floor and started talking about Bruno's novela's, "No wait explain it to me- how did the tía get amnesia?" Bruno was happy to explain to his niece everything, he's always loved storytelling. "Okay so the tía was in a storm right? And a tree hit her head. Don't ask how she didn't die because I don't know either!" They both laughed at the end of Bruno's sentence, Mirabel kept on asking questions about his show and Bruno would always explain with a smile on his face, happy to be talking to somebody else that wasn't himself or rats.

They rested there for awhile but got up and continued, still accompanied with their own laughter and conversation, the sun began to set and that's when they both looked around and gathered some small and big sticks, and some big leaves, all of which where easy to find. Bruno and Mirabel eventually found a spot to rest, they dropped all of what they've gathered and began trying to make a shelter.

After some colorful words, curiosity of Bruno, and some apologies for said colorful language, they finally had a decent shelter. And now they needed a fire, and thank god Bruno already knew how, because Mirabel knew very well she had no idea on how to do it. Bruno started the fire in no time.

Mirabel sat in the little shelter that was just big enough for them, now that she was gone from her home, she felt more free? Happy? Lively? She didn't know how to phrase it, tío Bruno joined her in the wooden shelter "A lot on your mind sobrina?" Mirabel nodded while still staring at her hands that sat in her lap "Wanna talk about it?" Bruno asked her, he looked at her with sympathy, he understood how she felt, Mirabel nodded and spoke "I think I'm happier being away from them, but I feel guilty for leaving even though I wasn't happy there.." Bruno put his hand on her shoulder and responded "You know you shouldn't feel guilty for being happy right Mirabel? You aren't responsible for their happiness sobrina." Bruno was great at giving advice that he never applied to his own life, it was one of his many talents.

She looked at her tío and smiled "Gracias, tío.." Bruno knew she was still hiding something "You're not done, I can tell something is wrong Mirabel." his voice was still calm, but it was now finally above the sound of his mumbling, Mirabel looked at her tío "I don't know what else to say, they've never asked me to tell them how I feel." she tried to search for words, she has always wanted to tell her family how she felt but she never could, and now she was finally given the chance to speak up, and she just couldn't.

Bruno smiled at her "Well..we have all the time in the world, I'm always going to be here listening when you need Mirabel." those words hit hard for Mirabel. For once, somebody was finally listening. Not looking down on her, or dismissive of her feelings, "I'm just happy to be away. I spent years hating myself because abuela never cared, nobody really did, they didn't listen, they just ignored me. I don't think they even care that I'm gone. Even if I stayed they wouldn't change how they treated me. They'd just ignore me more then they used to."

Tears were on the verge of falling, but Mirabel knew how to push tears back, she's done it for years, until Bruno spoke "You're stronger then you think Mirabel. You've held in everything for so long, and you let it out. I'm proud of you sobrina." that's when tears fell. I'm proud of you it rang in her head. She's always wanted to hear those words, and now she had heard them, and it was genuine. Her parents had never said it, yes her parents were good, but they never told her how proud they were. To them she was a chore, something fragile, one wrong word and she would crack, she was the task of comfort. She wasn't a person to be proud of, to them she was a person to pity.

So now hearing those words, after years of longing to make her family proud. She finally heard them, and it was better then she imagined..
