Darkness had covered the entire world. The entire ocean.

It was silent.

Dark.

There was no sign of life nor sound.

Alberto looked around everywhere, but found nothing.

Maybe this was it.

This is his death.

Then, something glowing started swimming up from beneath him. It came close past his face.

A jellyfish. A blue one. And it was glowing. It seemed... Happy.

Then, another one started swimming upwards past him on his right. A purple one. it was glowing too.

Then, another from his left side swam upwards past him.

Then another.

Then another.

And another.

Alberto looked down and there was a swarm glowing jellyfish swimming upwards; ignoring him. At first, he looked at his body. It was transparent. It had no color. Speaking of which; he couldn't feel anything either. Nor breathe.

If he couldn't breathe then... How is he still alive?

Was he even alive anymore?

The jellyfish continued to swim around him. It was a swarm of multi-colored bubbles floating up in the air. They surrounded him until there was no more darkness. Some were small like babies; and the others large like parents. They came in all sorts of colors; Blue, purple, pink, magenta, cyan, azure, midnight blue, indigo, Celtic, cerulean, Majorelle, periwinkle and royal blue. He landed on the giant periwinkle-colored one's head. It was way bigger than the others. It was even bigger than him.

"Where Did You All Come From?" Alberto said in wonder.

Wonder. That word meant something. No, It meant Someone.

A weird feeling settled into Alberto; like these jellyfishes meant something more, something important. They all seemed so familiar; but what was it?

He didn't know. He had no memories. There were no thoughts. He felt like bits of his mind was swimming like fish in a bowl.

There was a sharp, stinging pain in his chest. Like a gunshot. His brain was aching. These feelings. He felt them before. The horrible feeling of isolation. The pain of being alone.

But then another feeling crawled in. He wasn't alone. Something else was here with him.

The giant jellyfish he was on carried him upwards along with the others.

He's heard something like this before.

Was this what Maria meant when they die?

Wait...

Who is Maria?

"Maria? Are you here?" Alberto called.

That name. It was so familiar. It sounded like it was something important. Like there was someone close to him before he died.

For a moment; nothing.

"...Alberto..." Maria's voice called faintly.

Alberto looked up to where he heard the voice and saw another giant jellyfish.

A blue one. And laying on top of it was...

Maria.

"Maria!" Alberto called as he grabbed two tentacles from the jellyfish he was on and started steering the jellyfish closer to Maria's.

Alberto reached his hand out and called to Maria again, "Maria! I'm right here! Can you hear me?"

Alberto reached his hand out and called to Maria again, "Maria! I'm right here! Can you hear me?"

Maria turned her head towards him, "...Alberto..." She said and reached her hand out to him.

"Maria, hang on!" Alberto said and steered the jellyfish closer until they bumped into each other; which seemed to have made them glow brighter.

"Maria! Grab my hand!" Alberto called,

As he got closer to her, flashes of imagery popped into his mind. It looked like... A relationship he had...

With her.

Maria was so weak; like she was fading. But she managed to find the strength to reach her arm out to Alberto's and grabbed his hand as their fingers intertwined with each other. As soon as his hand met hers. It all came back to him.

His memories.

His feelings.

His Soulmate.

Then, something unexpected happened. The jellyfish began to swim up faster and faster, like a million shooting stars.

Maria and Alberto continued to hold tightly to each others hands as they went fast. The time they had together flashed before their eyes.

Their whole life in plain sight.

Then the jellies began to do something miraculous.

They began shooting up like a billion, bright shooting stars.

Their glows began to grow brighter and brighter as the mysterious voice came back calling to them.

"A Bright Future Awaits." It called.

"It's Not Your Time Yet. Come Back."

The jellyfish became shooting stars as they sped up fast and glowed brighter. Then they leaned and went back down; forward.

They made something none have ever seen before.

Something Stupefying.

A gravitational pull of the breathless wind in space as it raises the sea up in the air.

The Wind carries the Sea

And they make,

A Tidal Wave.
