"How far are we?" Luca asked, "Just a few more miles ahead." Said Simon. They were in a car driving towards the town of Bristol Cove in Washington. They managed to land by the airport and bought another car and started driving to the town; hoping to find their friends. They were driving down a road that was covered in woods and trees with grass. Giulia was relieved and excited to see her father again, she turned to her left and noticed Luca wasn't in the mood for some reason. "Luca? What's wrong?" She asked, "Huh? Oh... Nothing." He said and continued staring out the window, "That face doesn't mean its 'nothing.' What's wrong? Alberto's fine! We're only a few miles away and you'll see him again!" Giulia said trying to cheer him up, Luca sighed, "That's not the problem..." "Then what is it?" Asked Giulia, "Your dad. Your able to see him again, but I can't see my parents... They're probably somewhere in Canada and I'm pretty sure it's gonna take forever to find them in a country that's so big!" Luca complained, "Aw Luca, I'm sure you'll be able to see our parents again soon!" Said Giulia as she placed her hand on his shoulder. Luca smiled a bit, "Yeah, I hope I will." He said as he stared out the window. They continued to drive down the road until they came across a gate with some military guards around it. "Great. First, mercenary guards, now the military?" Simon mumbled under his breath in anger as one of the soldiers walked up to his window. "State your business, sir." He said, "I'm a doctor. And we have some friends that we're just visiting here." Said Simon with a small smile trying to act normal. "May I see your credentials?" Asked the guard. Simon took out his I.D. and gave it to the soldier as he overlooked it then gave it back. "Step out of the vehicle. All of you." He ordered, "All right, nobody panic. Just remain calm." Said Simon as he and the others stepped out the car and walked to the soldier as he pulls out some sort of scanner and begins scanning them. The device blinked and beeped when it scanned Simon, then Jason, then Giulia. The soldier stopped at Luca, Luca was sweating nervously and smiled a little trying to not act suspicious as the guard scanned him. The device beeped loudly and the guard looked up at Luca with a stare. Simon reached down in his left pocket ready to pull out his pocket knife in case the soldier was gonna try something. "Alright, they're good to go." The soldier yelled as he waved his hand to his teammates to signal them to raise the gate. They all sighed in relief and Simon removed his hand from his pocket and got back in the car. As they raised the gate; one of the guards gave Simon a map, "Here's a map of the town so you'll find your way around. Make sure that kid back there checks in with the village uptown." He said pointing his head to Luca then walked away. Simon gave the map to Jason as he started driving into town. "My, this seems like a picturesque little town." Jason said as he looked at the map then turns it around to a map of the village the guard mentioned, "Hey, here's a map of the village that guy mentioned." Said Jason as he shows it to Giulia and Luca. "Wow, it looks so cool!" Said Giulia as she looked at the pictures around the map, "At least there's a place where we can relax!" Said Luca, "I think that's what that guard meant for Luca to check in." Said Simon, "What do you mean?" Asked Giulia, "Take a look at the town." Simon said as Giulia and Luca sat up out their seats and looked out the front window of the car. There was franchise's of mermaids everywhere. On buildings, in shops, there were even some people dressed as mermaids, "I guess they expected your arrival or something." Said Jason.

Alberto woke up to a bright, sunny morning. He sat up in the bed and stretched then looked to his right and noticed Maria was gone. 'Always the vigilant one up, huh?' He thought to himself as he got out of bed and got on some fresh new clothes on. Massimo still had some pairs of his old yellow tank top and brown shorts that he kept, they looked like he washed them in the laundry and they stretched out; making it easier for him to slip them on. They fitted him perfectly. Alberto went downstairs to the kitchen and saw Maria was cooking something. 'She's cooking? I never saw her cook. I didn't know she knew how to cook.' He thought as he walked up to Maria, "Good morning." He said as he overlooked what she was making in the pot, "Good morning." She replied, "What are you making?" He asked, "Clam chowder soup. Wanna try? It's good!" She said holding a spoonful of the soup "Careful. It's hot." Alberto blew on it a few times for it to cool down before he took a bite out of the soup. It tasted delicious. It was thick and creamy like sipping gravy with tender chunks of potatoes that almost felt like it melted in his mouth. The flavor contrasted in his mouth of the saltiness and smokiness the bacon and the fading bitterness of fresh 'oceany' clams gave. "Wow! This is way better than pasta and pesto!" Alberto said with his face lighting up with fascination and delight, "Scusate?" Massimo gasped as he walked into the kitchen, "Ah! Massimo! I-I didn't mean-!" Alberto stuttered with words. He wasn't expecting Massimo to be there nor to have heard him. Massimo laughed, "No, Amico. I'm just kidding! Your wife's cooking is superb!" "Yeah- Wait... WIFE!?" Alberto escalated as he blushed hard, "Of course! Can't stay fidanzata and fidanzato forever!" Said Massimo as he sets the table while Cari came downstairs and hugged her sister then sat down at the table as Massimo pushed her chair in.
