The Sea Monster and The Siren

It was sunset, almost dark. Alberto, Maria and her little sister, Cari joined Massimo in his cabin home. It looked almost similar to the home he had back in Portorroso, before it was raided by Mercenaries. "Wow, this almost looks like we're back in Portorroso." Alberto said looking around his new home, "Aye, Ragazzi. The villagers managed to design the homes like the ones others had before they were destroyed." Said Massimo as he began cooking some food for Alberto and Maria. Alberto looked down in sadness, remembering the old days before it all fell apart. Massimo sighed, "I know. I miss our home too. For now, we'll just have to accept what we have left." Said Massimo as he places some plates full of pasta in front of them. Alberto smiled and took some bites out of his pasta, Massimo placed a plate down in front of Maria and her sister "Signora." He said. "Grazzie, Signor." Maria replied. Alberto quickly stopped eating and stared at Maria in surprise. "What? I had to learn the language at some point." Maria smiled as she grabbed her fork and ate her pasta while Massimo just laughs. Cari was staring at the plate of food not knowing what it was nor how to eat it, Maria signed to her sister, "Eat it like this." And picked up her fork and dipped it in the pasta, twirled it and picked it pack up and ate it. Cari watched carefully and copied every move her sister made as she lifts her fork with the food was attached to it and ate it. Her face lit up with satisfaction of the taste, she turned towards her sister and signed back to her, "She says your food is delicious." Said Maria, "It is my pleasure, Senorita." Massimo nodded to Cari as they continued to eat their food. After they finished with their dinner, Alberto gathered the plates and started washing the dishes. "Cari says thank you for the meal." Said Maria placing a plate in the sink next to Alberto, "I'm not the one who cooked it. But tell her I said she's welcome." Said Alberto, "I'm going to take her back to the others. They have been training her to fight. Wanna come?" Maria asked, "Maybe later, I gotta help Massimo with a few chores." Said Alberto, "Okay, come on, Cari." Maria said as she and her sister went back to the house where they reunited at to Donna and Ryn for training. Alberto finished the dishes and wiped off the counters as Massimo finished clearing the table. "That's quite a lovely woman you have there, Amico." Said Massimo, "Heh, thanks." Alberto said "I'm gonna go for a walk, I still need to get the map of this place." "Sure, just be careful." Said Massimo, "I will, don't worry." Alberto said as he left out the door and walked down to the beach. The sky looked beautiful like that. The sun just above the ocean's horizon, the faded colors of orange and blue spread out across the sky like it's a never-ending trail.

Cari was currently fighting against Donna, Pushing her, then dodging her every moves, and then pouncing on her. Donna sat and nodded her head to her as Cari helped her stand back up. "Your sister is growing stronger." Said Ryn, "Yes. She's very special." Said Maria smiling at her sister. Another little girl came out a room besides Ryn, she looked like she was nine or ten and had blonde hair with blue eyes and pale skin. "Who's this little one?" Maria asked, "Ryn's baby." Said Ryn as Maria quickly turned over to Ryn in surprise, "Wow, I- Congratulations." Maria said, she was speechless. "Her name is Hope." Said Ryn as she walked to her daughter's side. Maria bent down to Hope's eye level, "It's nice to meet you, Hope. I am your mother's friend, Maria." Said Maria. Hope looked up at her mother, Ryn nodded to her and walked a bit closer to Maria. Maria place her hand on Hope's shoulder and rested her head on hers as Hope did the same then quickly turned over to Cari and they started hissing at each other. Maria and Ryn stopped the both of them, Maria signed to her sister that the little girl was her friends' child; Ryn told her daughter that the brunette was Maria's sister. Cari and Hope looked at each other for a moment, they started circling each other and sniffed for each other's scent. Cari looked back at her sister as Maria slid her hand across her chest and raised it back up, Cari turned back to Hope and did the same thing, signaling that she's a friend. Hope looked back at her mother, Ryn nodded and Hope accepted Cari's friendship. Maria Smiled and stood back up, so did Ryn as Hope and Cari ran off to play. "You have a beautiful daughter." Said Maria, "And you have a beautiful sister." Said Ryn. Maria turned back over to Donna and her daughter Cami, Donna walked over to Maria, "Daughter?" She asked Maria. Maria shook her head and looked down in sadness. Donna, Cami and Ryn walked over to Maria and placed their hands on each other's shoulders and rested their heads on each others heads. Maria looked up at them and nodded her head, thanking them for comforting her. "Mating season is coming soon. Hopefully you'll be able to give birth to a new generation of your people." Said Ryn, Maria nodded, "I'm gonna go for a walk. Take care of my sister for me?" Ryn nodded as Maria left out the door.
