"There's always time to punch Jackson."

"I'll be back in a sec." Charlotte tells her cousin.

"Stiles should be here any minute-" He starts.

"I've gotta go to the bathroom." Charlotte tells him, already walking out of the school swimming pool room.

She follows the sound of crying all the way to the school parking lot, ignoring the game of LacCrosse playing.

She freezes when she realises it's coming from Lydia's car- no, the crying is coming from Lydia.

She takes a small breath, wondering if she should go and comfort the redhead or not.

She just doesn't want to risk her getting hurt.

But when a heartbreaking sob escapes Lydia's lips, Charlotte's legs quickly walk her towards the car.

"Looks like me feet have a mind of its own now." Charlotte mutters to herself before she finds herself next to Lydia's car.

She lets out a small sigh, crouching down a little before she knocks on the passenger seat window, making Lydia jump and turn to her.

Her eyes widen a little when she sees Charlotte, quickly rolling the window down so they can talk.

"Arlo?" Lydia asks in slight shock.

"Yeah..." Charlotte nods awkwardly.

"Where have you been?" Lydia asks, sniffling a little, making Charlotte frown.

The Lynx stands up, getting into the passenger side of Lydia's car with a sigh.

"What's wrong?" Charlotte asks her seriously.

"Nothing..." Lydia shakes her head.

"Lydia, come on." Charlotte sighs.

"Honestly, Arlo. It's nothing." Lydia shakes her head, making Charlotte purse her lips.

"Well, I'm not leaving this car until you talk to me." Charlotte shakes her head, making the redhead side eye the Lynx.

"And I'll happily wait for you to talk." She adds, making Lydia smile a little.

"Where have you been?" Lydia asks shakily, making Charlotte let out a breath.

"Been busy." She replies.

"Bullshit." Lydia sighs.

"I've been very, very busy." Charlotte repeats.

"Yet you still have time to punch Jackson?" Lydia asks in slight amusement.

"There's always time to punch Jackson." Charlotte nods, making Lydia let out a laugh.

Charlotte turn to the girl with a smile, watching as the redhead wipes the tears from her eyes.

"You've got an eyelash on your cheek." Charlotte points out.

"Yeah, it's probably from all the crying." Lydia nods, reaching her hand to her face to try and wipe the eyelash away from her cheek.

It doesn't work.

Charlotte glances down at her hands that are resting in her lap, squinting her eyes slightly before she looks back at Lydia.

Who still has the eyelash on her cheek.

She quickly reaches up, using her thumb to brush away the eyelash, successfully allowing it to fall onto the car floor.
