"She failed the test." Derek states with a sigh.

"It doesn't prove anything." Scott argues.

"Yeah, and plus, I also didn't get affected by the venom." Charlotte points out, standing by Scott's side as the two argue with her cousin.

"But you were with us when it attacked, so it's obviously not you." Derek reminds her.

"Lydia's different." Scott tells the alpha.

"Yeah, I know! She turns into a homicidal walking snake!" Derek yells at the beta exasperatedly.

"How the fuck would you know? Have you actually seen her turn into the Kanima? God, your detective skill are worse than your alpha skills, and your alpha skills are fucking shit." Charlotte scoffs, making Derek turn to her with a glare.

"We're not gonna let you kill her." Scott shakes his head.

"And who said I was gonna do it?" Derek asks with a smirk.

"Those little shits..." Charlotte trails in a mutter, realising that Issac and Erica aren't with Derek and Boyd.

"I don't know why you think you have to protect everyone, Scott. And I do t see how you're still friends with them, Arlo." Derek speaks up, making Scott and Charlotte turn to him with a glare.

"But, Lydia's killed a lot of people. And she's gonna keep doing it, and who knows? Maybe it could be one of us next time." Derek points out.

"You really don't like to be right, do you?" Charlotte asks with a sigh.

"Charlotte, listen to me! She was bitten by an alpha- your dad! It's her." Derek yells at her angrily, making Charlotte flinch a little.

"You saw that thing up close, it's nothing like us." Scott steps in front of Charlotte, allowing Boyd to step closer to Charlotte.

"No, it's exactly like us. A shapeshifter, you don't know what you're dealing with and it happens very rarely, it also happens for a reason." Derek scoffs.

"What reason?" Scott asks.

"It better be a good as reason otherwise I'm taking us all to Mexico so the thing can eat everyone... but Derek will be here for Jackson to eat." Charlotte hums in thought, making Boyd look down at her in amusement.

"What if she's immune?" Scott asks, making Charlotte and Boyd go back to the conversation.

"What if she got something inside her from the bite and she's immune, which is why she's paralysed?" Scott suggests.

"No one is immune, I've never seen it or heard of it before!" Derek yells in frustration.

"What about Arlo?" Boyd asks.

"It's different, she's made." Derek tells him.

"What about Jackson?" Scott asks.

"Thank you." Charlotte throws her hands up in the air, happy someone is finally agreeing with her that the lizard bitch is Jackson.

"That's why you tested him, isn't it? Because you have him exactly what he wanted." Scott snaps.

"Scott-" Derek starts.

"Peter said that the bite will either kill you or turn you. And you were probably hoping that he'd die, right?" Scott asks, making Derek look down.

"Wow, that's harsh." Charlotte raises her eyebrows.
