"Thank you, how much was it again?" I asked. "Don't worry about it young lady, stay safe." He smiled. "Really thank you." I got out the car. I went inside, closing the door behind me.

"Hey mom" I said waving to her as she was sitting on the couch. "Oh" I heard her sniffle. "Hey honey". Her voice was shakey. "Momma are you okay" I sat on the couch.

"Oh don't worry about me sweetheart" she smiled. "You know I really hate you but I love you so please tell me what's wrong."

"Steve Uhm left, he told me he had a wife" she looked at me. "Oh mom, I'm so sorry" I apologized. "Oh don't worry.• he chuckled a bit hugging me. "I'm wet." I sigh. "I don't mind" my mom hugged me. I hugged her back, "ima gonna go get changed" I stood up. "Alright, goodnight" she smiled.

"Love you" I walked upstairs and into my room. I took of my dress and put on some joggers and Colby's hoodie. I laid in my bed grabbing my phone. I clicked Colby's contact calling him, it rung about two time before going to voicemail. A year fell down my face.

I called him again and it went straight to voicemail this time. I stood up and put on my vans, I grabbed my phone and vape and put it in my pocket. I went outside, my mom was probably asleep. I went to the key holder and took my moms keys. I walked outside shutting the door behind me.

I walked out to her car unlocking it and getting in. I start the car backing out the driveway. I drove down the street stopping at the stop sign. I took a hit of my vape blowing out the smoke.

I turned on my blinker turning left, I pulled into Colby's driveway. I got out the car and knock at his door.

No answer.

I knocked again but mid knock the door opened. "Colby hey" I looked up at him, he walked out crossing his arms, he was wearing a tank top and shorts, his hair was messed up. "Katie" he sighed.  He looked like he had been crying.

"So my date...we'll I left, cu- well I'm not going to get into it, b-" Colby groaned stopping me. "Katie get to it, I'm not here to listen to it." Colby rolled his eyes.

"I think about you, and I- I caught feeling, I know I shouldn't have but I did, I shouldn't have gone on that date." I get closer to Colby.

I stood on my toes putting my hands behind his neck, his hand moved to my hips. I placed my lips onto his, Colby pulled away. I looked at him confused. " I Uhm -" he was stopped by a voice.

"Cole-bear, who was at the door" Alyssa stepped into the door. I quickly turned my head. I scanned her, she had on underwear and one of Colby's hoodies.

"Oh" my voice shook. "I made a mistake coming, im sorry. Have a nice night." I walked away wiping the tear that had fallen.

"Katie, please." Colby ran after me. I opened the car door, Colby grabbed my arm. "Really Alyssa!" I look at her, she was standing in the walkway, watching.

"I didn't mean anything by it, it was stupid, I was emotional." He tried to grab my hip. I pulled away. "So you slept with her?" My voice began shaking and my eyes were watery, I swallowed to get the lump out of my throat.

"No.. I mean yes we did, but I swea-" Colby tried to explain. I wipe my tears, "fuck you Cole" I got in the car shutting the door. I backed out the drive way seeing Colby walk over to Alyssa, yelling. I couldn't make out what he was saying but it sounded something like 'why would you come outside.'

I drove away. Not paying attention to anything.
