Chapter 9

I dribble the ball taking a shot. "So like are you and Colby together?" Emily ask handing me the ball.

"Yeah, saw y'all in the hallway" Kat takes the ball from me. "No. Yes. I don't know" I try and fake.

"Your lying" Emily titls her head. "What do you mean?" I ask, throwing the ball. I miss and run to get it. "You are together, I can tell when your lying" I roll my eyes and throw the ball at emily. "It's time to go" I smile at her. I walk Into the locker room, changing out of my gym clothes into my normal clothes. I see Emily with Purfume. I snatch it from her, "thanks" I spray some on myself.

"Yeah smell good for your boyfriend" Emily laughs. I throw her back her perfume. I put my bag over my shoulder. "Hey Katie, wait up!" Kat yells. Her and Emily walk next to me. We walk down the hall and to the lockers. I put my gym stuff away. I close my locker leaning against it. I wait for Emily and kat.

Hands were felt on my waist. Kat looks over at me. I sit there uncomfortable, "Colby please stop" I whisper only for him to hear. He stops. "Shit, sorry." He whispered. "It's okay" I rub the back of my neck. "It's just acting remember that." He whispered softly. He stood in front of me, leaning against my locker. I look over at Emily and kat who were whispering.

"What the fvck y'all looking at?" I smile. "You and Colby." Kat smiles. "We don't believe you" Emily continued.

"What do you mean" I raise an eyebrow. "Kiss" Kat chuckles standing next to me and Colby.

"What?" Colby laughs, thinking they were joking. "Kiss" Emily looks at me and Colby intensely. "Your joking.." Colby laughs looking at me, "she's joking right?" He looks at me, I shake my head.

"What about the be-" I was rudely interrupted. "No, don't even say the bell Katie may, it's lunch and we have and hour, so kiss or we will wait for an hour, possibly more." Emily demands.

I smack my teeth and roll my eyes. I go to kiss Colby but he stops me, he puts one hand on my cheek. "Don't do anything, just kiss how you normally would" he whispered slightly. He leans in close, he then puts his thumb over my lips, covering them. We move into the kiss, giving a quick 3 second one.

I pull away. I then look at Emily and kat, who both looked shocked. "We good, cool." I smile and walk away, Colby smacks my ass following Behind me. "Where did you learn that?" I ask, he puts his arm over my shoulder. "No where, it doesn't matter." He smiles.

"Okay well never again, got it." I put my finger in his face. "Oo bossy." He bites his lip, smiling a bit. I flick him off and sit down, him sitting next to me. Then Emily and Jake sit down. "Where's your lunch?" Colby asked. "I forgot to pack it this morning." I yawn, resting my head on my hand. "Oh" was all he said.

"Hey Jake" I smiled at him. "How was your day?" I asked. "Good, what about yours" he asked. "Eh, I'm tired, hungry, bored." I laugh. "Mood" he chuckles. I smile closing my eyes. "Hey, how about we go somewhere and get something." Colby mentioned.

"You have a car?" I raise my left eyebrow. "Yeah I'm pretty sure I do" he said sarcastically. "Sure" I smile. He throws his food in the trash. "Bye" Emily yells. "Bye" I flick her off. "Love you" I smile at her.

She smiles back.

Colby puts his hand in mine. "So where to?" He questioned. "Anywhere is fine" I smile at him. "No no no. I know how this goes, you say anywhere I take you somewhere, then you say you don't want it." He laughs.

"No I'm not like that, anywhere." I laugh. "Okay, whatever you sa-" we walk past Alyssa and Sam, laughing and smiling. We keep walking. "They are acting" Colby says rolling his eyes. He takes me to his car. "A Corolla. Mhm, doesn't look like you" I laugh getting in. He gets in to. "Yeah, got it for my 16th birthday. He smiles. He turns on the car putting on the radio.

He pulls into a parking lot. I get out the car, "what's this?" I ask. "Tender greens. It's good" he said, locking his car. We go inside and sit down. A lady comes up to us. "What can I get you two love birds?" She asked. "Uhm friends" I look at her. "Oh my, I'm so sorry." She laughed.

"It's good." I smile back. We tell her what drinks we want and she walks off to get out drinks. "Friends?" He questioned. "Yeah, what else" I look at him. The lady comes back with our drinks. "Thank you" I smile. She nods walking away.

"Well I thought more of best friends." He smirks. "I roll my eyes. "Sure buddy." I take a sip of my drink.
